Not all that uncommon, the villages up in the Atlas Mountains do get some snow nearly every year. From the looks of the trees that seems to be up in the Atlas mountains. It does get pretty chilly in much of Morocco every winter. I seen it below freezing several times, however there was no snow in Casablanca, Sidi Slimane or Rabat any time I was there. But the temperature did get below freezing for 2 or 3 days in a row.
