In keeping with our tradition of promoting inter-faith dialogue and multi-cultural association, we are pleased to inform you about our first international Islamic Conference scheduled to be held on the 21 st February 2007. The theme of the conference is "Islam - A Moderate Religion," it aims to explore the p racticability of Islam and provide an opportunity for discourse between different faiths. We have invited scholars, politicians and social activists to tackle the issue of moderation and Islam.
The conference has been timed to coincide with Islamic Awareness Week on campus on 19th - 24th February 2007. As part of the activities during the week there will be an exhibition of Islamic culture and heritage, workshops on terrorism, Islamic banking, a multi-faith panel discussion and a school day.
