At the time when Shaikh Abdul Basit was in the subcontinet in the early 60's when he recited his famous and powerful recitation of Surah Rahmaan at Badshahi Masjid.Lahore Pakistan on March 23 1961 ,he also visited India in front of similar amazing crowds.
