بچے کي د عا

لب پہ آتي ہے دعا بن کے تمنا ميري
زندگي شمع کي صورت ہو خدايا ميري
دور دنيا کا مرے دم سے اندھيرا ہو جائے
ہر جگہ ميرے چمکنے سے اجالا ہو جائے
ہو مرے دم سے يونہي ميرے وطن کي زينت
جس طرح پھول سے ہوتي ہے چمن کي زينت
زندگي ہو مري پروانے کي صورت يا رب
علم کي شمع سے ہو مجھ کو محبت يا رب
ہو مرا کام غريبوں کي حمايت کرنا
دردمندوں سے ضعيفوں سے محبت کرنا
مرے اللہ! برائي سے بچانا مجھ کو
نيک جو راہ ہو اس رہ پہ چلانا مجھ کو


Transliteration

lab pe aatii hai duaa banake tamannaa merii
zindagii shammaa kii surat ho Khudaayaa merii

duur duniyaa kaa mere dam a.Ndheraa no jaaye
har jagah mere chamakane se ujaalaa ho jaaye

ho mere dam se yuu.N hii mere watan kii ziinat
jis tarah phuul se hotii hai chaman kii ziinat

zindagii ho merii parawaane kii surat yaa rab
ilm kii shammaa se ho mujhako mohabbat yaa rab

ho meraa kaam Gariibo.n kii himaayat karanaa
dard-ma.ndo.n se zaiifo.n se mohabbat karanaa

mere allaah buraaii se bachaanaa mujhako
nek jo raah ho us raah pe chalaanaa mujhako

Translation

My longing comes to my lips as supplication of mine
O God! May like the candle be the life of mine!

May the world's darkness disappear through the life of mine!
May every place light up with the sparkling light of mine!

May my homeland through me attain elegance
As the garden through flowers attains elegance

May my life like that of the moth be, O Lord!
May I love the lamp of knowledge, O Lord!

May supportive of the poor my life's way be
May loving the old, the suffering my way be

O God! Protect me from the evil ways
Show me the path leading to the good ways

Maybe it is only that what we know within which we are enabled by Allah to sustain ourselves and our Earth in Elegance, is simply that of witholding the worst fears so as not to make the world be so frightening.

The invokation is like a way of making that certainty in life and positive consequence in Allah be accessible for children, yet for the child who knows, not less frightening, but more. A good child will through such invokations accept to themself the fears of any other child friend. But that is often how invokations work. What one person can sustain themself in fear of, is not what another can. So if I hold your fear from your story, and you hold mine, then we know that our fears are not causing us to fall, but are kept tightly governed by Islam, yet also are not disabling to us.

The invocation, is for a child to forgive the fears in other that the child is able to hold, while themselves being forgiven.

It is an important lesson for children, that when we can be forgiving, we are lead into experiencing higher degrees of forgiveness.

The best consequences of curiousity.

Perhaps confusion and being lost for words after reading the invocation is why I posted, because I am not accustomed to being lost for words except when in terror. That which there is no helping since identifying fear worsens it. Thus forgiveness, and that forgiveness is every children's. Children can approach in mind the reality of an Angel's reality of the world, where an adult often will prefer to refute that none of us want to be real. Angel's and children believing, will observe until one point in which a change can be accorded. While a child will find a point in which tears to it's mother will work, an Angel's task is to accord the maximum effective change with least intervention. Yet perhaps it is the similarity between a child's world and an Angel's knowledge of what is wrong with the world, which causes the fear in this.
