:sl:
Blessings of hajj:
Abu Hurayrah related that the prophet(saw) said:
One who performs hajj without marital relations or committing any sins returns from hajj as pure as he was on the day he was born.
Ibn mas'ud related that the prophet(saw) said:
perform hajj and umrah one after another, because both remove poverty and sins just as a hammer removes rust from iron, gold and silver, and there is no reward for an accepted hajj except paradise.
:'( :'( :'( the purpose of this thread is...a simple question..... is anybody performing hajj this year? :'( :'( :'(
serioulsy some of u are aware of me...how am attached to hajj....a question that hits me several time...when will i be called to my lords place? something is stuck to me, that cannot be easily removed.....
every now and then, waking in the morning..i wish i was there....okay i'll stop am getting to emotional.....well its my destination and my goal inshAllah....
even thou, my dream is egypt or as a family were planning to go abroad...saudi arabia comes to my mind and my heart, as its locked in forever!
so inshalah tell moi how many of u from this forum are planning to go hajj this year? as i'll feel comfortable....pray for me there when u reach there inshalah...and for the ummah inshalah....
travelling to mina, spending the night in muzdalifah, half of the day in arafat, jamarat, arriving in medinah sharif...... woah truly amazing journey..subanallah........climbing the mountain noor and sur...ya Allah...everyday..i wish i was there....
anyway this year am not going...but inshalah i'll see the live hajj coverage on islam channel...and i wont move from my seat...proper glued....
But inshalah next year my mums planning to go, for time being i'll save some money inshalah....
Abu Hurayrah reported that the prophet(saw) said:
One who performs hajj and one who performs umrah are Allah's guests, if they invoke Allah, He responds to them, and if they seek his forgiveness, He forgives them.
:'( :'( :'(

I know that Muslims are supposed to be the only ones going. Do non-Muslims ever go to see what it is like?

I don't think that it would be discrimination. I bet non-Muslims go. How would a person be able to tell? I'm not saying that non-Muslims should go, I was just curious.

well non-muslims cant enter the limits of makkah ... they are not allowed ..thorough paper check is done ... if people lie for the sake of getting in they have to get their papers(passports etc ) changed etc .. thats a big problem ....

shahada must be stated in order to be admitted, lol would you state that you believe in the one and only Allah and Muhammad is his messenger, to see makkah?

Personally I wouldn't state the above just to see Makkah. I do think that if for some reason I had a deep burning desire to visit Makkah I'd lie and act Muslim.

its not that easy. you have to have proof whether it be your passport or, if not then a official header from a masjid confirming you are muslim.
a controlled demolition group went from england to demolish some buildings in makkah. even they could not enter makkah but had to do this via video help.

I personally think I'm not spiritual enough or am old enough.
Somewhere in my 20's, when my belief in Islam is so strong that absolutely NOTHING can EVER stand in the way of it, it will be my time :inshallah
For now, I will have to build on the pillars of my beliefs:)

I am definatly going to hajj this year, inshallah...(definatly, inshallah.lol..)
Im really nervous, and just want to get everything right. I know actions are with intentions, and as long as i try is the main thing, but i want to come back, and let it effect the rest of my life inshallah. Ive been Omra before, and i can easily say that the sigh of the Kabaa is the most amazing thing in the world. It has a certain 'hayba' about it, or like, status..:S...dunno how to translate that word.lol. I remember just tearing up,and crying at its sight. Truely amazing people. Anyone who has a chance to go, be sure to do so! Rather than saving up for your next holiday to some random country, go Omra. Truely, you will NEVER forget it, i wish they allowed pictures to be taken in the Masjid.lol..
Take care people..Asking for your duaas and supplications..
Peace. Salamz.

yep, I have went to Hajj 2 times. I dont remeber the year heh, but the first time I was 16 years old, and the second time I was 17 years old. Now I am 19. So probably 2005 and 2004.
And yes its a great! experience.. even though you might sometimes feel tired, but at the end, you feel extremely happy and as if you want to do it again. You just have this strong feeling to move on subhanalla :)
Nshalla I have set a goal in my life to go to Hajj more than 7 times, so 8+. Alhamdulilah I have no obstacles againts me and doing hajj will be easy. The only problem currently is my university.
God help us all , wasalam :)

I heard that a non-Muslim journalist disguised himself as a Muslim & went to Macca to see what goes there during Hajj.

I'm sorry to say but no a virtual hajj, as nice as it seems, is not equivalent to the actual hajj we must all take at one point in our lives. When we take the hajj (the real one) our sins will be washed away insha Allah, but a virtual hajj doesn't require you leave your computer-chair. A virtual hajj will not give you the same majical and beautiful experience of performing the actual authentic hajj. Insha Allah I pray you be given the chance to make hajj soon insha Allah and insha Allah your hajj will be accepted by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and you will come home stronger in Iman and with a stronger love for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

:sl: and jazak Allah khair for pointing that out.
And to answer the question little brother: I don't think you need to worry about making a hajj right now, but insha Allah in a few years maybe Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will give you the chance to make a real hajj. I'm very glad to hear you're taking an interest in your Deen at the age of 11. Masha Allah brother! :sunny: I will make sincere du'a that you may be able to experience a real hajj in the next few years insha Allah. I'm sure you will find the real thing very very wonderful, and if you can make hajj as a teenager, insha Allah you'll know how to make hajj and then when you're older and you get married, you'll be able to take your wife on hajj insha Allah.
May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala bless you and reward you for all your efforts. I wish more 11 year-olds had the same interest in Deen that you do insha Allah. :sunny: Salam alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh brother!

..a desire has been filled...but it still remains in my heart....as i long wait to see the ka'abah and complete ziyarah in Madinah inshAllah...
....and my mouth is in the constant reminder of saying 'labbayk Allah huma labbayk....here i am oh Allah..here i am to ur service...inshAllah...

Assalamoalaikum,
I am trying to plan a hajj with my husband without my daughter.
There r lots of hrdles in the way. I have to clear them one by one n see if I can make it through. Pliz pray for me.
I found a nice thread on free e-boks on hajj
http://www.islamicboard.com/umrah-ha...ra-ebooks.html
But there r so many I don't know in which to look for the right answer.
I wanted to know, is it true that one cannot/should not perform hajj if he/she has a credit/loan on him/her. What if one has installements of anything? That is also considered a loan, I know. Is it permissable to go to hajj with such installments on a person?

I like to take this opportunity to say that I'm going to hajj as well this here inshallah. So in light of that, i like to apologize to anyone i've offended or hurt for the time i've been here.
Lastly, anyone has any specific dua requests, feel free to PM me inshallah. Just a reminder, best dua you can ask haaji to be is that you get the invitation yourself soon.

That's a stupid bid'a law Okhee. Jordan is a constitutional monarchy. One should take the initiative to protest against it when one is still young. Protest until a referendum is passed.
I know it is easier said than done. But Allah (SWT) will reward those who engage in Jihad. Any holy struggle is Jihad. This is oppression and does not allow you to practice a very important pillar of your religion. One must not allow this tyranny to continue. Inshallah, the people who engage in this non-violent Jihad will be rewarded abundantly by Allah (SWT).

Today I asked more abt this law and they told me that this year's min. age is SIXTY years..:X
and the reason is that the maximum no. of Jordanians who can go for Haj is 5000,and they see that the priority is for those who are above 60 years:X i.e before their death:X
And youth here believe that Hajj is for OLD people.. and that they have no time to do Hajj..so no one will protest against this law:X

Hmm...that's stupid. Good thing we don't have any such restriction... in fact, you have these political parties doing anything for Muslim votes, such as by putting up huge banners of their leaders dressed in Muslim attire wishing all pilgrims a happy Haj, lol! Same thing during Eid & Ramadhan.
