LONDON, UK JULY 26 :-
Ar-Raya Political Prisoners Coalition are pleased to announce the launch of their new website,
www.ar-raya.org.uk, which aims to highlight the demands for political status for all political prisoners being held in the United Kingdom and Occupied Ireland.
On the site, there is a list which is continually updated of all political prisoners currently being held, as well as profiles of specific prisoners as well as informative articles and resources for campaigning effectively.
We at Ar-Raya hope that this website will be the latest ammunition in the campaign to establish political status for detainees and to expose the 'war on terror' as the sham that it is.
Remember, Political Status is a right, not a priviledge, and we will continue to work tirelessly until these rights are granted and maintained.
NOTES TO EDITORS
Ar-Raya Political prisoners Coalition was established in response to the British Governments attempts to criminalise people and communities who are engaged in legitimate struggle to protect their homelands, religious and cultural identities.
Our aims are to establish the correct rights that prisoners of these struggles are due, in accordance with the Islamic rights which are specified in the Holy Qu'ran and Authentic Hadiths and are due to ALL, muslim or non-muslim.
