i dont know why i turn away from the sorrows that life unveils to me
i dont know why i turn away from the greif and misery which seems so harsh to see
i dont know why i turn away from the begger's pleas and cries
i dont know why i turn away from the truth and seem to prefer living in the lies
i dont know why i turn away from the love i feel for you
i dont know why i turn away from someone who's been so true
i dont know why i turn away from the happiness i'm shown
i dont know why i turn away from the beautiful summer, which over the days has grown
i dont know why i turn away from the safety that i've lived, instead going towards the dangered
i dont know why i turn away from the goodness, and enjoin in what is forbidden.
i dont know why i turn away from myself, the person that i no longer wish to be
i dont know why i turn away from myself and the world, and prefer to hide
