can some1 tell me some simple sentances in urdu that would be useful to me when im out in the asian/muslim community(as a non asian person)

Here's some simple urdu sentences. It has audio to click on so you can hear it as well for pronunciation. However, the sentence is written in urdu, but if you put your cursor on the text, it'll show you the english translation also.

I will give a few basic urdu words hope this helps.

Hello=Salaam

How are you?=Kya Haal Hai?

You=Tum or Aap(more respectful)

Your=Tumhara or Aapka (more respecful)

Friend=Dost

How=Kaise

What=Kya

Is=Hay

Yesterday=Kal

Today=Aaj

Tomorrow=Kal

Name=Naam

Brother=Bhai

Sister=Behen

Father=Abu/Abba

Mother=Ammi/Amma

Son=Beta

Daughter=Beti

Thanks=Shukriya

One=Ek

Two=Do (not as in do this, but door without the r)

Three=Teen

Four=Chaar

Five=Paanch

Six=Chay (ch to be pronounced as you would in charade ay as you would in say)
Seven=Saat

Eight=Aat

Nine=No

Ten=Das

What is your name=Aapka Naam Kya Hay
