New Muslims' Poem!

There was a time when i woke each day
nothing in my heart, no need to pray,
Didnt think twice about my actions,
Dressing strange to get reactions.
Staying out late,
Meeting men for a date.
Getting drunk and going to bed,
never heard of anyone named Muhammed!

Then one day i met this guy,
He changed my life and i never asked why.
He was a muslim, Alhamdillah!
He showed me what it meant to love ALLAH!

Now I'm muslim, I took shahada and I pray 5 times a day,
Finally I've been showed the right way!
I made tauba for all my sins,
finally this life can begin.
I'm married, got a little girl on the way,
and i pray each day that it'll stay this way!

LA ILLAH HA ILLALLAH

I know its not as beautiful or glorifying as some of the other poems but this one is heartfelt and personal. It helps me to remember that we didnt all start out the same way but what matters is where we end up eternally.
