The Qur’an gave the news that the dead body of Pharaoh would one day be discovered.

3. In ancient Egypt, Pharaoh used to torture the Children of Israel. God sent Moses to him with the mission of inviting him to believe in One God and allow the Israelites to leave Egypt with Moses. Pharaoh refused and the struggle between them continued for a long time. However, one night Moses succeeded in marching towards the frontier with his people but Pharaoh, becoming aware of his attempt, set out to follow him. When Moses reached the Red Sea, he touched it with his staff, and a furrow opened across the sea. Pharaoh attempted to follow him, but was engulfed with his legions. While narrating this event, The Qur’an makes a very interesting prediction:

Today We shall preserve your body that you may be a sign to those after you: although most men give no heed to Our signs. (Yunus, 10.92)
The dead body of Pharaoh was later found floating on the Western shores of the Sinai peninsula. The native residents can still show you to this land, which is now known as Jabal Firawn (Hill of Pharaoh). A few miles from this hill is a hot spring called Hammam Firawn (the Bath of Pharaoh).

While in Makka under great tortures, the Prophet predicted the future victories of Islam

2. Bukhari and Abu Dawud quote Habbab ibn Arat, who said:

Once, during the days of trouble and torture in Makka, I went to God’s Messenger, who was sitting in the shade of the Ka‘ba. I was still a slave in the hands of the Makkans then. They inflicted on me severe tortures. Unable to endure those tortures any more, I requested God’s Messenger to pray to God for help and salvation. But he turned towards me and said:

By God, previous communities had to endure more pitiless tortures. Some of them were made to lie in ditches and cut in two with saws but this did not make them forsake their faith. They were skinned alive but they never became weak against the enemy. Surely God will perfect this religion, but you display undue haste. A day will come when a woman will travel alone by herself from San’a to Hadramawt fearing nothing but wild beasts. However, you show impatience.

Habbab concluded:

By God, what God’s Messenger predicted that day, have all come true. I have personally witnessed it all.

--------------------------------------------------------

The amazing thing about this hadith [Prophetic saying] is that at this time, the muslims were being tortured severely simply because they said our Lord is God Alone in Makkah. They were helpless/weak, yet the Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was already promising that there would be people travelling in Yemen without fear of anyone besides wild beasts.

What's surprising is that Islaam wasn't even established within the city of Makkah itself, yet the Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) had promised that it would spread all the way to Yemen! And within a few decades this was exactly the case, Islaam had settled within Yemen, aswell as Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan etc. And the companions of God's Messenger themselves witnessed the peace and justice which came through it.

The Prophet foretold that Fatima would join him first of all after his death

4. Before his death, the Messenger called his daughter Fatima to his bedside and informed her that she would be the first among his family to join him after his death. Fatima joined her father, the pride of mankind, six months later.

The Prophet predicted the Mongol invasion

5. The Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, predicted the Mongol invasion, saying:

The Hour will not come before you fight against a people with red faces, small, slant eyes and flat noses. They wear hairy leather boots. [Recorded in Abu Dawud]

If we look in Islamic history, many centuries after the final Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away. During the rule of the Bani Abbaas [the Abbasid Dynasty] - there was a great war against the Mongols, the Mongols who destroyed Iraq (the centry of the Islamic Empire) and caused much bloodshed. To the extent that some people thought they were the Gog and Magog! [Ya'juj wa Ma'jooj.]

The shocking thing is that after these people caused much bloodshed and killed thousands upon thousands, maybe even millions! They realised the beauty of Islaam and how it is the only true religion accepted in the sight of God, so they accepted Islaam, and submitted to God.

The Prophet predicted the conquest of many important cities

7. According to authentic narrations, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, gave his community the glad tidings that they would conquer Damascus, Jerusalem, Iraq, Persia, Istanbul (Constantinople) and Cyprus, and that the religion of Islam would reach as far as the remotest corners of the world in the east and west.

This is exactly what happened, yet the Prophecy was made when Islaam was only within Arabia. Now look at the world around you, 1/5th of the world are muslims. 1billion people from 5billion in the world have submitted themselves to God in Islaam, and the numbers are still growing! This is exactly what has been Prophecised when the Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that 'Islaam would reach the corners of the world in the east and the west.'

The Prophet predicted the forms of government after him

"The Prophethood will last among you for as long as Allah (God) wills, then Allah would take it away. Then it will be (followed by) a Khilafah [caliphate] Rashida (rightly guided) according to the ways of the Prophethood. It will remain for as long as Allah wills, then Allah would take it away. Afterwards there will be a hereditary leadership which will remain for as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it if He wishes. Afterwards, there will be biting oppression, and it will last for as long as Allah wishes, then He will lift it if He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah Rashida according to the ways of the Prophethood," then he kept silent.

[recorded in Musnad Imam Ahmad (v/273)]

We're under the underlined stage, and all the events before it have occured in our islamic history. Inshaa'Allaah (God willing) the rest of the prophecy will soon come into effect.

According to the hadith, the prophet (peace be upon him) will be followed by rightly guided caliphs (Abu Baker, Omar, Uthman and Ali) and after those caliphs will come hereditary leadership (the other Caliphs) and after that will come tyrannical rule (today) and after that will come a rightly guided caliphs yet again inshaa'Allaah. [God willing] And we hope that justice will be applied once again.

Safinah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The Caliphate of Prophecy will last thirty years; then Allah will give the rule of His Kingdom to whomever He wills." (narrated by Abu-Dawood). This was indeed the length of the Caliphate after the death of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). After that, the rule of monarchies replaced the rule of the Caliphate.

The Prophet predicted the conquest of Istanbul

13. Again, according to an authentic narration, the Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, declared:

Surely, Constantinople (Istanbul) will be conquered (by my community); how blessed the commander who will conquer it, and how blessed his army.

He thus foretold the conquest of Istanbul by Muslims, and indicated the high spiritual rank of Sultan Mehmed, the Conqueror, and the virtuousness of his army. What he foretold took place centuries later.

Once Sultan Mehmad opened up Istanbul [in turkey] - he established so much justice there and removed the oppression of the Byzantinian Romans. This was done in 1453, yet the Prophecy was made around 800 years before this by God's final Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him.)

The Prophet mentioned that there would be signs forewarning the approach of the last day.

a. The barefooted bedouins competing in building tall buildings. Today we find in the Arabian Peninsula, the Arabs who used to be impoverished herders of camels and sheep, are competing in building the tallest tower blocks:

http://www.tallest-building-in-the-world.com/

b. The Mosques would be like palaces. This is clearly the case, even though the Prophet ordered simplicity, the mosques have become more and more fantastic, with golden domes, marbled floors, lavish carpets and chandeliers.

c. Disappearance of trustworthiness, so much so that one would only be able to say: "I know a trustworthy person in such-and-such town."

d. The increase in killing, so that the one who kills does not know why he killed, and the one killed does not know why he was killed. I was recently sent an article from the Washington Post about the rise of gang warfare. Part of the initiation ceremony was for a new gang member(some times as young as eleven) to shoot someone. The second highest cause of death from fifteen to thirty five in the US are gun related. The massacre of civilians in the Vietnam War by American troops who had little idea why they were there, and the increase of such conflicts, is further illustration of the fulfillment of this prophecy. As are the rise of insane mass murders, of children killing children, such as Jamie Bulger.

e. The increase of the use of riba (usury/interest) so that no one will able to escape being tainted by it. This clearly the state of the world economy today.

f. The enemies of the Muslims dividing the Muslim's wealth and lands between them, the Muslims abandoning jihad, and concerning themselves only with the worldly matters. We have already mentioned this.

g. The increase of literacy.

h. The decrease of religious knowledge due to the disappearance of scholars.

i. The increase of musical instruments, and the Muslims making it lawful even though the Prophet has forbidden them.

j. The increase of sexual promiscuity, and new diseases that people had not herd of before spreading amongst them as a consequence of that. This is clear, with the arrival of AIDS, and other previously unheard of viruses.

k. Appearance of Dajjals (liars/imposters), each claiming to be a Messenger of Allah, while Muhammad is the last messenger. There are numerous examples of this, starting with Musailima, who arose in the time of the Prophet, just before his death, to more modern liars such as Elija Muhammad, founder of the Black American racist movement "The Nation of Islam", and India's pretender Gulam Ahmed of Qadian.

l. Nakedness of women while still being dressed and people copulating like donkeys in public. Obviously a direct reference to soft and hard-core pornography, which has become a dark stain on our society in recent times.

m. The drinking of wine becoming common, and the Muslims making it lawful by calling it another name.

n. Shouting in the mosques and lack of unity.

o. The worst and most ignorant will become leaders and they will be oppressors. Bill Clinton, saddam Hussain and majority of worlds Leaders are prime examples.

p. A man will obey his wife and disobey his mother, and treat his friends kindly and shun his father.

q. Men will wear silk and gold, and the making of it lawful by the Muslims even though the Prophet had forbidden it for the men of his 'Ummah (nation).

r. People will abandon the religion for a small worldly gain, and keeping to the religion will be like holding two hot coals (due to the fact that people oppose religion so much, and class those who submit themselves to God as 'extremists' or 'fundamentalists' etc.)

The Prophecy on the Different Sects which would Arise

The Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) said:

"Indeed those from before you from the People of the Book (christians and jews) divided into seventy-two groups. And, indeed, this group (Muslims) will divide into seventy-three. Seventy-two groups will be in the Hellfire and one of them will be in Paradise. And it is the Jamaa'ah (group)."(Recorded in Ahmad)

And in another narration, he (peace be upon him) said: "Everyone of them in the Hellfire, except for one group that which I and my companions are upon." (Recorded in Tirmidhi)

So those who follow the final Messenger of God, Muhammad peace be upon him and the way of his companions will be part of the saved group - since they had the best teachings and the best understanding of God's final revelation - the Qur'an.

Conclusion

There are much much more Prophecies, and if i have the time i hope to post more up insha Allaah [God willing.]

How is it that even though the Prophet made all these prophecies, Christian missionaries are still trying to reject the prophetic mission of Muhammad (peace be upon him). Ever since the advent of Islam, Christians have been unable to challenge the teachings of Islam, therefore they have had to try and resort to lies and distortions of the Holy Qur’an in order to support their claims. They have fabricated lies against the Prophet, claimed he was epileptic, claimed he was conspiring with Jew/Christians and some have even claimed he was the devil in disguise. We would like to ask those so-called missionaries, aren’t these the exact claims the Jews made against the prophet Jesus (pbuh). However, they seem to be in a state of ignorance fuelled by pride and prejudice, adamant of repeating the same mistakes the Jews made by refusing to open their hearts to the beauty of Islam.

As Allah/God Almighty informs us in His final testament, the Qur’an:

And say: "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish." (Qur’an 17.81)

And Allah knows best!

Peace.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) Predicted the state of affairs which we are facing today:

Narrated Thawban: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish.

Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?

He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts.

Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him):

He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.

Abu Dawud Book 37, Number 4284.

We can see this today, where we have wahn in our hearts - when the love of this world has entered our hearts, over the love of the hereafter [i.e. Paradise.] And we see many nations attacking the Muslims from all sides.

Where we have deviated from the religion of Allaah/God Almighty, so we have turned away from establishing Allaah's Just law on the earth. So the oppressors can oppress, and the weak stay poor. This is still taking place in the materialistic world we live in today. This is due to our extreme love for this life, even though the true life for the believers, doers of good is Paradise.

There are many Prophecies to explain why the different Muslim groups fight amongst themselves, by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him);

Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Number 180:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard the truthful and trusted by Allah (i.e., the Prophet) saying, "The destruction of my followers will be through the hands of young men from Quraish."

This hadith has been explained by the scholars, and we know that the first hereditary Khilafah/Caliphates were of Bani Umayya, then Bani Abbaas. Both these sub tribes were from the Quraish.

There was a great deal amount of turmoil and oppression during the times of these two dynasties, since each tribe wanted to get the authority and the Khilafah/Caliphate of the Muslim World. They fought against each other and there were many revolutions from both parties.

This fits the description which the Messenger of Allaah, Muhammad (peace be upon him) said;

I do not fear poverty for you. But, I fear that the world will become prosperous for you as it became prosperous for those before you. Then you will rush into it as those before you rushed into it It will then ruin you as it ruined those before you.
[Authentically Recorded in Sahih Muslim]

This is EXACTLY what happened, and this is one of the greatest reasons for our weakness as Muslims throughout history. Aswell as the believers in the nations before us.

The following ahadith explain the issue further in depth;
Narrated Abu Sa'id (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"Surely, you will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, in everything as one arrow resembles another, (i.e. just like them), so much so that even if they entered a hole of a sand-lizard, you would enter it."

They said, "O Allah's Messenger! Do you mean to say that we will follow the Jews and the Christians?"

He replied, "Whom else?" (meaning, of course the Jews and the Christians)."

(Recorded authentically in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Did the Jews and Christian sects fight amongst each other? Yes they did, a great deal.
Muslim reports from Thawban (May Allah be pleased with him) that Allah's Messenger (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said:

"Allah the Most Exalted folded for me the earth, so much so that I saw its easts and wests (i.e. the extremities). The kingdom of my community will reach as far as the earth was folded for me.

The two treasures, the red (gold) and the white (silver) were bestowed on me, I prayed to my Lord that He may not destroy my community by a prevailing famine, and not give their control to an enemy who annihilates them en masse except from among themselves. My Lord said to me, 'Muhammad, if I issue a decree, it is not withdrawn; I have promised your Ummah [nation] that I will not destroy it by a prevailing famine, and I shall not give their control to an enemy -except from among themselves -who exterminates them en masse, even if they are stormed from all sides of the earth; only a section of them will destroy another section, and a section will take as prisoner another section.' "

There are a number of signs in the statement of the Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him):
• Allah folded for him (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) the east and the west (i.e. the lands under the control of Islam); the meaning of it; and that it indeed occurred as he informed; as opposed to the north and the south.

• That two treasures (i.e. treasures of Rome and Persia) were bestowed upon him.

• That two of his D'ua (invocations) on behalf of his nation have been accepted.

• That the third of his invocations was prevented.

• That the sword would be used and that it would not be lifted after that.

• That false prophets would appear among this nation (the Muslims).

There would always be a victorious group.

• All of this occurred as he mentioned even though each one of them was far from what could have been conceived.

Al-Barqani (May Allah be pleased with him) recorded this Hadith in his Sahih and added to it the following words:

I am afraid about my community of those astray leaders who will lead astray. When the sword is used among my people, it will not be withdrawn from them till the Day of Resurrection, and the Last Hour will not come until the tribes of my people attach themselves to the polytheists and tribes of my people worship idols. There will be among my people thirty great liars each of them asserting that he is a prophet, whereas I am the Seal of the Prophets after whom (me) there will be no Prophet; and a section of my people will continue to hold to the truth and they will be victorious and they will not be harmed by those who oppose them till Allah's Command comes."

Conclusion:

- We see from the many narrations of Prophecies of the Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him.) It has been Prophecised that there will be amongst us (The Muslims) people who will fall into the exact same traps and patterns that the Jews and the Christians fell into. To the extent that even if they ran into a lizards hole, these Muslims would follow them!

- There will be factions of believers who will fight amongst each other, this started from the murder of Uthman (the 3rd Khalifah/Caliph, and companion of Allaah's Messenger.) The Messenger of Allah spoke the truth when he said the sword will not be withdrawn uptill the Day of Ressurection.

There is further proof in other ahadith where there are other sects like Al Khawaarij, and other less explicit ahadith which state that the Shi'a will follow Al-Dajjaal [the Anti Christ.] Which then proves this point further, because the Messiah/Christ, Jesus son of Mary will come near the end times to fight the Anti Christ. So we see that there will be sects among us even uptill that time (i.e. near the end times when the Anti Christ [Al Dajjaal] comes.)

- We also see from the narrations that Allaah has promised that the Muslims as a whole will never be eradicated, even if the whole world tried to eradicate Islam. Allaah will always allow some to remain upon the truth, who will be on the world to establish His religion which He has sent to us.

So we see that this is through the wisdom of Allaah, and without a doubt - He is the All Knowing, the Wise. We know that whatever He decrees is for our own good, even if we can't understand that good, since we are merely humans who are only aware of the present. Whereas Allaah knows what lies ahead of us, and what is behind us.

The Prophecies above then clarify that Islaam is the truth since the Prophecies have truly come into effect exactly as the final Messenger of Allaah, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has Prophecised. This then further strengthens Islaam since the Messenger of Allaah/God warned us of these events already, instead of us feeling confused and doubting the events which were to come later, without any prior knowledge.

And say: "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish."

(Qur’an 17.81)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) Prophecised the year of his own passing away...

Tafsir Ibn Kathir - of Surah Surah Nasr [110]

Al-Bukhari was alone in recording this Hadith. Imam Ahmad (in Musnad Ahmad) recorded from Ibn `Abbas that he said, "When

[إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ ]

(When there comes the help of Allah and the Conquest.) was revealed, the Messenger of Allah said,

«نُعِيَتْ إِلَيَّ نَفْسِي»

(My death has been announced to me.) And indeed he (peace be upon him) died during that year.''

continued...

People Joining Islam in crowds... then leaving Islam in crowds.

The meaning of Al-Fath here is the conquest of Makkah, and there is only one view concerning it.

For indeed the different areas of the Arabs were waiting for the conquest of Makkah before they would accept Islam.

They said, "If he (Muhammad) is victorious over his people, then he is a (true) Prophet.'' So when Allah gave him victory over Makkah, they entered into the religion of Allah (Islam) in crowds. Thus, two years did not pass (after the conquest of Makkah) before the peninsula of the Arabs was laden with faith. And there did not remain any of the tribes of the Arabs except that they professed (their acceptance) of Islam. And all praise and blessings are due to Allah.

Al-Bukhari
recorded in his Sahih that `Amr bin Salamah said, "When Makkah was conquered, all of the people rushed to the Messenger of Allah to profess their Islam. The various regions were delaying their acceptance of Islam until Makkah was conquered. The people used to say, `Leave him and his people alone. If he is victorious over them he is a (true) Prophet.'''

Indeed his Prophecy of success came true, when Makkah was opened - the people did enter into Islam in crowds - to the extent that all the Arabian Peninsula became Muslims.

But this isn't the end of the Prophecy:

Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu `Ammar that a neighbor of Jabir bin `Abdullah told him, "I returned from a journey and Jabir bin `Abdullah came and greeted me. So I began to talk with him about the divisions among the people and what they had started doing. Thus, Jabir began to cry and he said, `I heard the Messenger of Allah saying,

«إِنَّ النَّاسَ دَخَلُوا فِي دِينِ اللهِ أَفْوَاجًا، وَسَيَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهُ أَفْوَاجًا»

(Verily, the people have entered into the religion of Allah in crowds and they will also leave it in crowds.)''

Tafsir Ibn Kathir - Surah Nasr
http://tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=110&tid=59390

This is exactly what happened! The same way people had entered into Islam in crowds - after the death of the honored Messenger of Allah, the people left Islam in crowds, the same way they had joined. Except for the people of Makkah, Madinah, Al-Taa'if and some other areas.

This is when Abu Bakr, the companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the first Khalifah/Caliph fought against the apostates who were a threat to Islam within the Arabian Peninsula.

The details of that can be seen here:

The Prophecy of the Mongol Invasion

Sahih Muslim Book 041 [kitab al fitan - book of trials], Number 6956:

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

The Last Hour would not come unless you fight with people whose faces are like hammered shields and the Last Hour would not come until you would fight against those wearing the shoes of hair.

Book 041, Number 6959:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come until the Muslims fight with the Turks-a people whose faces would be like hammered shields wearing clothes of hair and walking (with shoes) of hair.

Book 041, Number 6960:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: You shall fight in the hours to come against a nation wearing shoes made of hair and faces like hammered shields, with red complexion and small eyes.

Book 041, Number 6958:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come until you fight with a people wearing shoes of hair and the Last Hour would not come until you fight with a people having small eyes and broad snub noses.

Prophet Mohummed said that the Turkic- Mongol tribes would fight Moslems and this prophecy came true as the Turkic- Mongol tribes conquered the Islamic caliphate in the age of the Abbasid caliphate , which fell down and came to an end on Sunday , falling Safar 4th , (656 A.H. = February 10th 1258 AD/CE)

The prophet described the Turks Mongols who would fight his Moslem nation after his death and stated that this fight would be one of the portents of the doomsday . I have searched for photocopied pictures of the old paintings of the kings of Mongols . What I found was astounding and amazing ,these pictures are of people who were the same as prophet Mohummed described them . The peoples in the pictures had the same facial features and characteristics as prophet Mohummed described.

An old picture of(Genghis Khan) ,the founder of The Mongolian Empire

A picture of the emperor Kublai Khan with a red face as prophet Mohummed predicted

A picture of the emperor (Tomor Olziit Khaan) , one of the Mongols kings

A picture of a Mongol warrior , see the beaver fur on his head

Some have said that this Prophecy is in regard to the Colonialists, taking over Muslim Lands & exploiting them.

1. Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SWS) said: Iraq will be forbidden its dirham (money) and bread, and Syria will be forbidden its food and dinars, and Egypt will be forbidden its crops and dinars [money]; and you will return to where you started, and you will return to where you started, and you will return to where started.

Sahih Muslim, Hadith # 2033, Page 1079. (The Book of Trials);
Summarized Arabic -English Volume 2; Compiled by: Al-Hafiz Zakiuddin
Abdul-Aziz Al-Mundhiri; Published by: Darussalam.

Abu Nadhrah said: we were with Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) when he said,

(Iraqi people will be forbidden their food and money), we asked, (who will do that?). He said: (The 'Ajam -non-Arabs- will forbid that).

He added:

(Syrian people will (also) be forbidden their money and food), we said: (who will do that?). He said: (The Romans*).

Jabir was silent for a while then told that the Messenger of Allah (SWS) also said: (There will be a Caliph in the last days of my nation, who will collect money abundantly without counting), I asked Abu Nadhrah: (Is he Umar bin Abdul Aziz? [a really pious ruler who brought justice to Muslims 99AH), He said: (Absolutely) No.

My Lord said to me, 'Muhammad, if I issue a decree, it is not withdrawn; I have promised your Ummah that I will not destroy it by a prevailing famine, and I shall not give their control to an enemy -except from among themselves -who exterminates them en masse, even if they are stormed from all sides of the earth; only a section of them will destroy another section, and a section will take as prisoner another section.' "

Al-Barqani (May Allah be pleased with him) recorded this Hadith in his Sahih and also mentioned the following words:

I am afraid about my community of those astray leaders who will lead astray. When the sword is used among my people, it will not be withdrawn from them till the Day of Resurrection, and the Last Hour will not come until the tribes of my people attach themselves to the polytheists and tribes of my people worship idols. There will be among my people thirty great liars each of them asserting that he is a prophet, whereas I am the Seal of the Prophets after whom (me) there will be no Prophet; and a section of my people will continue to hold to the truth and they will be victorious and they will not be harmed by those who oppose them till Allah's
Command comes."

[Kitab Al Tawheed, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahaab. page 61]

12) There are a number of signs in the statement of the Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)

• Allah folded for him (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) the east and the
west (i.e. the lands under the control of Islam); the meaning of it; and that it indeed occurred
as he informed; as opposed to the north and the south.
• That two treasures (i.e. treasures of Rome and Persia) were bestowed upon him.
• That two of his D'ua (invocations) on behalf of his nation have been accepted.
• That the third of his invocations was prevented.
• That the sword would be used and that it would not be lifted after that (after the murder of Caliph Uthman, the Muslims have always been at war with each other i.e. sects, power struggles etc.)
• That false prophets would appear among this nation (the Muslims) [i.e. the Ahmadiyya sect.]
• There would always be a victorious group.
• All of this occurred as he mentioned even though each one of them was far from what could have been conceived.

13) The extent of fear for his nation from the misguided and astray leaders.

14) Warning and notice of the meaning of idol worship.

They said, "O Allah's Messenger! Do you mean to say that we will follow the Jews and the Christians?"

He replied, "Whom else?" (meaning, of course the Jews and the Christians)."

(Recorded authentically in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Now recently I heard a talk by brother Abdur-Raheem Green. He mentioned an amazing story of a lizard hole which was very large. It belonged to what I think he referred to as the 'commodo dragon' - a very large type of lizard. Its hole is so big a person can go inside it. Anyway a non-Muslim (Christian?, Jew?) - I think a scientist type - went into the lizard's hole and got killed by one of the inhabitants. Then a few years later ARG mentioned a Muslim (scientist?) who was photographed in a same type of lizard hole. Exactly - literally as the hadith mentions although I also think the prophecy refers to following in each and every thing. Amazing!.

When and Why (Surah Yusuf, 12) was Revealed?

The subject matter of this Surah indicates that it was revealed during the last stage of the Holy Prophet's residence at Makkah, when the Quraish were considering the question of killing or exiling or imprisoning him. At that time some of the unbelievers put this question (probably at the instigation of the Jews) to test him :"Why did the Israelites go to Egypt?" This question was asked because they knew that their story was not known to the Arabs for there was no mention of it whatever in their traditions and the Holy Prophet had never even referred to it before. Therefore they expected that he would not be able to give any satisfactory answer to this question or would first evade it, and afterwards try to enquire about it from some Jew, and thus he would be totally exposed. But, contrary to their expectations, the tables were turned on them, for Allah revealed the whole story of Prophet Joseph then and there, and the Holy Prophet recited it on the spot. This put the Quraish in a very awkward position because it not only foiled their scheme but also administered a warning to them by aptly applying it to their case, as if to say, "As you are behaving towards this Prophet, exactly in the same way the brothers of Prophet Joseph behaved towards him; so you shall meet with the same end."

If someone claims the companions of the Prophet or Muslims in history lied and made these prophecies to justify his prophethood, then we can refute them with this hadith;

Narrated 'Ali: The Prophet said, "Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter the Hell-fire."

[Authentic - Bukhari, Book of Knowledge #106]

Meaning - his companions feared to lie about him - even if they meant something good, since the person would fear hellfire as a consequence.

So his companions couldn't lie about him, even if it was something good. If they lied about him, they were warned of against the hellfire. So you tell me, would someone who is a dedicated follower who really believes in him - would they lie about him to make him look good, while placing themselves in the threat of the hellfire?

There are at least 160 known and confirmed prophecies of Prophet Muhammad which were fulfilled in his lifetime and the first generation after him.[1] We will mention some here.

(1) Preceding the Battle of Badr, the first and decisive confrontation with pagan Meccans in the second year of migration from Mecca in 623 CE, Prophet Muhammad foretold the precise spot every pagan Meccan soldier would fall. Those who witnessed the battle saw the prophecy come true with their own eyes.[2]

(2) Prophet Muhammad prophesized the Battle of the Confederates (al-Ahzab) would be the last invasion the tribe of Quraish (the pagan Meccans) would launch against the Muslims. It was fought in the fifth year of migration, 626 CE and was the last military conflict between the two sides. All Meccans embraced Islam after a few years.[3]

(3) The Prophet informed his daughter, Fatima, that she would be the first member of his family to die after him. There are two prophecies in one: Fatima will outlive her father; Fatima will be the first member of his household to die after him. Both were fulfilled.[4]

(4) The Prophet Muhammad prophesized Jerusalem would be conquered after his death.[5] The prophecy was fulfilled when, according to Encyclopedia Britannica: “In 638 the Muslim Caliph, Umar I, entered Jerusalem.”[6]

(5) The Prophet Muhammad prophesized the conquest of Persia.[7] It was conquered by Umar’s commander, Sa’ad bin Abi Waqqas. In the words of Encyclopedia Britannica:

“…raids into Sasanian territory were quickly taken up by Muhammad’s Caliphs, or deputies, at Medina - Abu Bakr and Umar ibn al-Khattab… an Arab victory at Al-Qadisiyyah in 636/637 was followed by the sack of the Sasanian winter capital at Ctesiphon on the Tigris. The Battle of Nahavand in 642 completed the Sasanids’ vanquishment.”[8]
(6) The Prophet Muhammad prophesized the conquest of Egypt.[9] In the words of Encyclopedia Britannica:
“Amr… undertook the invasion in 639 with a small army of some 4,000 men (later reinforced). With what seems astonishing speed the Byzantine forces were routed and had withdrawn from Egypt by 642… Various explanations have been given for the speed with which the conquest was achieved.”[10]
(7) The Prophet foretold confrontation with the Turks.[11] The first conflict took place in the caliphate of Umar in 22 AH.[12]

(8) The Prophet foretold the first maritime battle to be undertaken by Muslims would be witnessed by Umm Haram, the first woman to participate in a naval expedition. He also prophesied the first assault on Constantinople.[13]

The first maritime battle in Muslim history was in 28 AH in the rule of Mu’awiya. It was witnessed by Umm Haram as foretold by Prophet Muhammad, and Yazid ibn Mu’awiya led the first attack on Constantinople in 52 AH.[14]

(9) The prophecy that Rome, Persia, and Yemen will be conquered was made during the Battle of Confederates in 626 CE,[15] under extreme circumstances, as is described by the Quran:

“[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about God [various] assumptions. There, the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking. And [remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease said, ‘God and His Messenger did not promise us except delusion.’” (Quran 33:10-12)
(10) Prophet Muhammad prophesized an imposter claiming to speak in the name of God would be killed at the hands of a righteous man in Muhammad’s lifetime.[16] Al-Aswad al-Ansi, an imposter prophet in Yemen, was killed in the Prophet’s lifetime by Fayruz al-Daylami.[17]
There are at least an additional 28 prophecies pertaining to the end times which are awaiting fulfillment.

Indeed these well-documented prophecies are clear proofs of the Prophethood of Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him. There is no possible way that the Prophet could have knowledge of these incidents except if it were inspired by God Himself, all in order to further prove the authenticity of the Muhammad, that he was not an imposter, but rather a Prophet raised by God to deliver humanity from Hellfire.

One point which made me further strengthen my belief in the Qur'an was this verse;
"And the heavens* We** constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander." [Quran: 51:47]

(the word vasi in Arabic means vast, moowsi’oon [which comes from the root word vasi] is the word used in that verse which signifies that someone is an expander and expanding that certain thing, in the context of the verse – the heavens or space is gradually being expanded by God’s control.]

*heavens = the skies and space above us (in arabic = sama' = heavens), Even linguistically in English and many other languages.

it isn't the Paradise promised for the believers. The gardens promised to the beiievers in the next life is Jannah (which means gardens.)

**We = Royal We, it is used by kings to refer to themselves in a respectful way. Allah - the One & Only God refers to Himself in this respectful Royal 'We' too.

The Big Bang:
http://www.islamicboard.com/dawah/13...ml#post1050844
Someone over 1400 years ago would probably think the universe is static (i.e. stays in a still state), but the Qur'an proves otherwise [that its expanding], which we've just discovered in the 20th century by Edwin Hubble [who came with the Theory of the Big Bang].

That's just another sign that Islam has truth to it, and we are able to understand the universe around us using Qur'anic verses, and science - and by relating them together.

The prophet (pbuh) prophecied that his ummah will split into many sects and only one of them will enter Jannah. :

'My ummah will be divided into seventy three sects. All of them will be in the Fire except one' [Saheeh Muslim, no.976]

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu): "The Messenger of Allah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: 'The Jews separated into 71 sects, and the Christians into 72, and my nation will divide into 73 sects.'" (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)

There was also prophecy about the bedouin arabs competing in building tall buildings.
From the list of tallest buildings for the next decade, more than half are being built in UAE and Arab Saudi.

Interesting – so will the current two sects divided again to a total of 73 sects or are there already 73 sects?

I thought there was just shia and sunni, you are suggesting there are more - who are they?

Like br naidamar said i dont think there are 73 sects yet but as Yammul-
Qiyamah (day of judgement) comes closer and lack of knowledge of the
religion decreases more people will create/turn to sects that will contradict the religion of Islam.
Im not sure about whether within sunnism the four schools of thought (maaliki, shaf'ee, hanafee, hanabalee) would be considered as sects but we do have sufism, *******s, Kharijites, salafi
Also shi'ism divides within itself such as the Ismailiyya, the Imamiyya, the Kamiliyya etc.
Anywas i think we are going off-topic and I believe this type of discussion is not allowed in this forum.
