Salamualikum.
I did put it on sis but i quickly closed it as it contains music in
It would be nice if someone like your self or anyone else can actually put the english translation up so i can atleast read the dua'ah without music inshallah. It would be much appreictaed and you will earn alot of reward for it inshallah.

One thing i hate is i ONLY know english and learning arabic :(

May Allah subhnwatallah forgive us all inshallah. Amin.

Shukran sis, thought i need a change for once. deen coems first then cats :statisfie

My longing comes to my lips as supplication of mine
Oh Allah, May like the candle be the life of mine!
May my homeland through me attain elegance;
As the garden through flowers attains elegance
May my life like that of the moth be, Oh Lord
May I love the lamp of knowledge Oh Lord
May supportive of the poor, my lifes way be
May loving the old, the suffering, my way be
Oh Allah protect me from the evil ways
Show me the path leading to the good ways
Requires some reflection . . .

Assalamaleykum..

Translating doesnt do this poem nuff justice man!.. It is the use of powerful words used by Allama Iqbal from which he attained his prestige name. Just like he believed urdu (as beautiful as it is) is not the same as Persian..

Kittygyal... maybe you can listen to this one

its without music and contains subtitles... though, its a brother narrating it.. is that halal? ;)

My longing comes to my lips, as supplication of mine
O Allah! May like the candle, be the life of mine
My longing comes to my lips as supplication of mine
May the world's darkness disappear through the life of mine
May every place light up with the sparkling light of mine
May my homeland, through me, attain elegance
As the garden, through flowers, attains elegance

The lady missed out these lines in her singing...!

wsalam

You're missing a few couplets...

Lab pe aati hai dua ban ke tamanna meri
Zindgi shama ki surat ho Khudaya meri

My longing comes to my lips, as supplication of mine
O Allah! May like the candle, be the life of mine

Door duniya ka mere dam se andhera hojai
Har jagah mere chamakne se ujala hojai

May the world's darkness disappear through life of mine
May every place light up with the sparkling light of mine

Ho mere dum se yohe mere watan ki zeenat
Jistara phool se hoti hai chaman ki zeenat

May my homeland, through me, attain elegance
As the garden, through flowers, attains elegance

Zindigi ho mere parwaane ki soorat ya rab
Ilm ki shama se ho mujko mohabat ya rab

May life be the wealth of my growth ya rab (O' Lord)
May the light of knowledge be my love ya rab

Ho mera kaam gharebon ki himayat karna
Dardmandon se Zaeefon se muhabbat karana

May my work be for support/help of the poor
(and) love for the pained, the elderly

Mere Allah buraee se bachana mujhko
Naik jo rah ho us rah pe chalana mujhko

My Lord protect me from the evil
Lead me to the path that is righteous

Lab pe aati hai dua ban ke tamanna meri
Zindgi shama ki surat ho Khudaya meri

My longing comes to my lips, as supplication of mine
O Allah! May like the candle, be the life of mine

this is from a hadeeth, the full thing roughly translates as: islam began as something strange and will return to the strangeness it began so glad tidings be upon the strangers.
