Our brothers and sisters in Palestine are in need of your help. Interpal has taken the responsibility in looking after 10,000 orphans to provide them with basic necessities such as food, water, shelter, clothing and education. We want you to help them by taking part in huge 5-a-side tournament this summer 2007.
Interpal has joined with the South London Football League to create a massive Knock Out tournament this coming August, the Al-Aqsa Cup. The South London Football League has the experience in creating big tournaments and provides suitable referees. The Al-Aqsa Cup will have two stages:
London Regional Cup - Dividing London into North, South, East and West, there will be a tournament to decide the best teams in their area.
London Finalist Cup – The top four teams (semi-finalist) in each region will come together to determine the best 5-a-side teams in London.
It is going to be a huge event inshAllah, and we want as many teams to join. Each region can accommodate 32 teams. That is 128 teams in total! It is a first come first serve basis so you must be quick. Closing date for entry is FRIDAY 20TH JULY.
The competition is open to everyone from 16+ and you do not have to be from London. However, preference is given to those from London.
There will be food, sponsorship stall, special guests and everyone that participates will receive memorial goods. We want you to enjoy a good day out with your friends, and enjoy playing competitive football in the correct manner. All players are advised to wear long shorts or tracksuit bottoms.
