The word كتاب has been used in different senses in the Holy Quran ,which are given below. For them sources consulted are :

A BOOK
وَلَمَّا جَاءهُمْ كِتَابٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ(2:89)

And how are they behaving now towards a Book which has come to them from Allah?
الَر كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ﴿11:1﴾

(11:1) Alif. Lam. Ra. This is a Divine Command *1 whose contents have been made firm and set forth in detail *2 from One Who is All-Wise, All-Aware

DECREE ,ORDINANCE ;

وَأُوْلُواْ الأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَى بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ﴿8:75﴾

But those related by blood are nearer to one another according to the Book of Allah. *53 Allah has knowledge of everything.

لَّوْلاَ كِتَابٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴿8:68﴾

(8:68) Had there not been a previous decree from Allah, a stern punishment would have afflicted you for what you have taken.

PRESCRIBED TIME :

لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍ كِتَابٌ﴿13:38﴾

For every thing there is Prescribed Time

RECORD :

وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ﴿23:62﴾

And We have a book (RECORD) which tells accurately (about everyone), *56 and the people will in no case be treated unjustly.

LETTER :

قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا المَلَأُ إِنِّي أُلْقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ كَرِيمٌ﴿27:29﴾

(27:29) The queen said, "O chiefs, a very important letter has been cast
before me.

A TERM :

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ الله كِتَابًا مُّؤَجَّلاً(3:145)

It is not given to any soul to die except with the leave of Allah, and at an appointed time.

SCRIPTURE
:

وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ﴿52:2﴾
An inscribed scripture
We will talk about "Al-kitab" at some other time Inshallah.
