I'm loosing my trust of Google. Sure they're the best search engine and I've been using them for years, but I don't like what they're becoming. They're expanding too fast, becoming too ambitious. That and they have no qualms with recording information on you.

no sis. bc they can have info. about people what they visit. so they can know that their interests is.
it happened once with a killer, that they used Google's info against him in the court, where they found that he was searching bad stuff, before he committed the crime.

While Google has been reluctant to hand info over to the US government when they demanded(And I respect them for that), there is growing concern over just how much Google knows about us. They save every search you make with them to predict your patterns, under the guise of offering better service. Whilst thier business plan may seem sinister at a glance, there's no proof that they're doing anything untoward with the information they record. But still, in a 24/7 surveillance society, ya can't help but be edgey.

The internet is supposed to allow us to escape from the problems of society, nay?

I doubt, Google will probably be a puppet company of the US government same as IBM, HP.....etc.

Google Earth | Free

Google Earth combines the power of Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips.
  • Fly to your house. Just type in an address, press Search, and you’ll zoom right in.
  • Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels. Get driving directions.
  • Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings.
  • Save and share your searches and favorites.
Since Google Earth was launched, users have been exploring our world and creating content overlays (KML files) to share their explorations with others. We're now highlighting user-created KML files each week in the new Google Earth Gallery. You can also choose to add the gallery's Google Gadget to your iGoogle page.

Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures
on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your
pictures and videos (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual
albums organized by date with folder names you know. You can drag and drop
to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes
sure your pictures are always organized.

Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and
powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your
pictures – you can email, print at home, make gift CDs, instantly share via
Hello™, and even put pictures on your own blog.
