A Miracle!
I thank You O Allaah!
The miracle You did unfold,
I thank You O Allaah!
This happiness cannot be told.
Did You not promise,
Your Help from unimagined sources?
A day of triumph for each,
Brought by powerful mighty forces?
Gloom that day it was to imagine,
The hours, days and weeks alone to make.
How can I do it, it was asked?
Alas! My cries You did not forsake!
I sat here astounded,
Amazed at this miracle.
From the Qur’aan an empowering reminder,
The fruits of patience, O my daughter, at its pinnacle!
From Umm.
To Allaah I turn in thanks…
Ibn al-Mubaarak said:
Whoever exercises patience,
then how little is the patience he will have to exercise.
And whoever is impatient,
then how little is the enjoyment he will have.
al-Imaam ash-Shaafiâee - rahimahullaah -used to recite (the following verses of poetry):
My soul! It is not, except a few days of patience;
As if the extent were but a few dreams.
