Just a question

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

I am new here and I guess I am having a little problem in navigating through the board. First off, I would like to know the real purpose of this forum. Is it meant purely for members to discuss among themselves? or does this forum also serve as a repository for islamic stuff (lectures, books and other articles). If the latter is true, then I would like to know the location of the islamic articles.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a sub-forum for Khutbahs and lectures by renowned scholars?

The main site that this forum is connected to contains many Islamic articles:

There are also many articles in the Forum Repository:

There's lots of information here; hopefully you'll find the links useful, although they can be accessed from the forum main page. Some of the links at the very top of the main page take you to the LI website, and the forum repository can be found towards the bottom.
