Just wondering, how many reps do you have to spread about before you can re-rep someone?

And how does your rep power increase?

You need to give reps to at least 5 other people before you can go back and give reps to somebody you already repped. You can only give reps for the same post once. No multiple reping of the same post.

The building of rep power is based on a combination of things.

Your time as a member. As a member your rep power increases by one for each month beginning after the second month as a member. Your count began in May.
Your rep power also increases by one for every 1000 posts you make.

Your rep power also increases based on the number of reps your receive. typically it will start off as increasing by one for every 1000 reps you receive. At some point It takes more than 1000 for it to increase further.
