Chances are verryyy slim.. I think brother Abdullah previously said that out of respect the senior sheikh always gets the chance to do the Khatam al Quran dua. Soo, Sheikh Sudais does it, and Sheikh Hudhaify does it in Madeenah. :sister:

not sure if this makes sense, but when ever i hear shuraim recite i feel as if i have known him for years. I have to have shuraims recitation on when im driving or if im at work, its just a daily routine. Do i make sense? maybe not

when i heard ss live in makkah last year, a week or two after hajj to be precise, it was totally an experience i can never forget, although he prayed short ayats and was always in a rush getting back to his hotel i manage to meet him a few times, he would always smile and shake hands.

The trick to make salaam with the imams is to approach them from the front and not the back, as i was told by a security guard (when he is retuning back to base, otherwise you'd be shoved of).

I've read from one site that a group of students from International Islamic Uni., Malaysia went for an educational visit to Makkah in May this year. The writer says that they have visited SS at his office at Qism Shariah Univ. Ummul Qura and SS is the Amid (Dean?) at the faculty.

Sheikh Hudhaify had Isha, Shiekh Thubaity did Fajr[cooooooooooool :wub:] SB did Asr, n Hussain Ale Sheikh[HAS] used to lead Zohr :)

I don't think they have to do Jumuah up close to the Kabah...its not soo packed yet to make them do that. When Ramadan starts, especially the last 10 nights, thats when the Haram is pacckkkked. :wub:

But I've never usually watched Jumuah in Ramadan.. Do they have do it upclose to the Baytullah?

yeah! Islam Channel showed last year too! ..but they cut off the end cos of maghrib adhan here and didn't but it back on. :(

They are showing it at 6.30 pm UK time.

Also, these days, after 12 midnight, and and at fajr time here in UK, (that's theonlytime I know.. dunno if it's throughout the night) but they show taraweeh from 2003. :)
