well ive scanned my pics, but because ive scanned from a book, there is also wrting. how do i get rid of this. ive tried selecting the pic and copying it, but ot no avail.

You have to use a photo editor or recopy with the blocked/cut out.

Go to the Image you want:

Right Click and click open with paint:

Now save it to a file and upload to your image host and post as directed earlier
