The muslim people must be considered like a single body having several limbs.
When any limb receives an injury,the whole body suffers from the pain.I hope the muslim people of today will understand the meaning of this words.

unity is always important..however you can not make blanket statements such as the one you made..take what is happenning in the sudan with the english teacher..some muslims agree that she should be executed..they feel islam has been insulted..does that mean all muslims must side with them...sometimes sanity has to prevail.....muslims decided who have hurt islam and who havent are not always correct

What he is saying is quoting the words of the Prophet (saws), who said that The Muslim ummah(nation) is like a human body. If one part is injured then whole body aches and feels the pain and is uncomfortable. What is meant is that we are one nation, one body, and we should feel the pain of our bothers and sisters and help those in need.

This doesn't relate to sudan, that is a whole different issue and quite silly over a simple misunderstanding.
