:sl: dear readers... you'll forgive me but I find myself reading code words on this forum where I have to be under the false pretense that I actually understand.. I think it is just maybe a UK or Australian thing?

I am not quite sure where to look for meaning, and trust me sometimes I even look in the dictionary of the vulgar tongue

what is
1-Erm
2-Init
3-dag
4-Geezah
5->>3

feel free to add your own conundrums and expand my vocabulary

thank you
:w:

2) Init = Ya (Gangsta way), whereas in Usa it's like Inay
3) dag = DAM N? Dog?
4) Geezah = Shoot? Dumb?
5) >>3 = Love? Smile?

1. Erm: A noise indicating hesitation, or sometimes used when correcting somebody who you think made a bad mistake, eg ''erm, it was the Allies who won WWII, not Burma...'

2. Innit: 'Isn't it'. A British word, usually associated with a London accent or, less innocently, 'gangstas' and chavs.

3. I have absolutely no ideِa.

4. I dunno, might be 'give us a'.

5. Same as 3. Haven't got a clue.

On a different note, my keyboard seems to write in Arabic if I press control and shift at the same time. I have no idea what I'm writing though.

شلاؤيثبلاهتنمةىخحضقسفعرصءغئ

See what I mean? That was the English alphabet.

:w: Erm - Um in American slang. Like when you're thinking of something to say you say ''umm''.
Init - Ain't it? Right? Like when you're looking for agreeance or assurance of something. It's like eh for Canadians.
Dag - Dag? I think you mean 'dang' sis, which is the same thing as ****.
Geezah - Hmm, never heard of this one actually!
>>3 - It's actualyl <3, which is a sideways heart that means love.

Hope I was of help inshaa'Allah.

it was jazaki Allah khyran.. share all you know..

lol so funny you should mention snakey I too looked that up
it is a vulgar term for an irish person..

(ethnic slur) a person of Irish descent
I try to keep on top but too numerous to keep on top of all these terms lol

cheers

;D ;D sometimes you have to wonder what it hip.. I mean just being five year behind everyone else makes you in again, 'so not hip it is oh so hip'..

yeah sometimes I call my friend and ask her what is 'cool' with the youngens today I feel so out of touch..
luckily clothes are still in, although there is no gurantee they will be around for long..

even the gadgets I own are so dated
my sony clie isn't even on the market anymore, so I can't even buy memory sticks or programs for it... 'init' a crying shame to spend so much money on a tiny machine and not get any mileage out of it? imsad...
anyhow I hear brains are in, gadgets out

peace

oh maybe 'taking the micky' is grabbing and irish man and giving him a noggy?

cheers

I think maybe taking the mickey or mick and taking the piss are synonymous? :? Or perhaps I am wrong.

Let's wait for one of the Britons to clear this up for us.

thanks, noname.
purest - i am the most "out of it" person i've ever run in to. i don't have tv, don't listen to commercial radio, i almost never go to movies. i have no idea what the latest anything is!
but i really enjoy my ignorance. :statisfie

Don't worry snakey don't worry...you know what counts... extraneous details aren't needed, trust me there are things I'd have been much better off not knowing about--

peace!

:sl:

you were correct as far as the word alone goes, mick is a racist term to describe people of Irish origin. British neo-Nazis and other "superior" people have a term term to describe every race on planet

oh yeah...I know sob7an Allah..makes you wonder who that 'elite race of victors' are? other than being composed of entirely recessive traits :hmm:
