خرق – يخرق (ن- ض ) خروقا (س) خرقا (ك) خراقة


IMPORTANT MEANINGS


A. When it comes from (ن – ض ) it means
a. He made a hole ,pierced ,perforated (Note: in this sense it is synonymous to جاب – ثقب )
b. He stayed (at home ,in the tent ) continuously without quitting
c. He forged the (lie)
B. When it comes from (س ) it means
a. He was terrified because of some fear or shame
b. He stayed continuously (at home)
c. He was helpless to rise up or fly ( خرق الغزال او الطائر )
Note: When an animal feels that some hunter is around that sticks itself to the ground because of fear and cannot move or fly, hence the meaning No:b and No:c

USAGES IN ARABIC

خرق الثوب او الخفّ
He made a hole in the cloth / boot

خرق فلانا بالرمح
He pierced someone with the spear.

خرق العادة
He acted against the habit.

خرق البنا
He made a ventilator (hole) in the building.

خرق الحائط
He made a hole in the wall

خرق الصخرة (جابه و ثقبه)
He made a hole /bored in the rock.

خرق السفينة
He made a hole in the ship.

خرقت الشاة
The sheep had in its ear a “hole”
Note: الخرق ( alkharqu) = hole

خرق الكذب
He forged a lie
Note : المخرقة ( almakhraqatu) = Lie (false statement)

خرق الريح
The wind passed along and blew
Note: الخرقاء ( alkharqaau) = fast piercing wind

خرق الارض (قطعها او جابها )
He traversed from end of the earth to the other

خرق فى البيت
He stayed at home continuously.

SOME IMPORTANT DERIVATIVES

خرّق الرجل
• He made many holes
• He lied a lot.
Note: In trilateral verbs when the middle letter is doubled i.e. (مشدّد) then it shows the following properties.
A. Intensiveness in the action
B. Extensive ness in the action
C. Makes the intransitive verbs to transitive form
So here it is showing the properties A and B.

اخرقه
He terrified him or perplexed him
Note : Hamza maftooh is placed in front of trilateral verbs then following property is achieved very commonly.
A. It converts the intransitive verbs into transitive one.
e.g خرق= to be terrified /perplexed and اخرق (akhraqa) = to terrify /perplex someone.


SOME QURANIC VERSES



فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا إِمْرًا﴿18:71﴾
(18:71) So they proceeded on until they boarded a boat, and that person bored a hole in the boat. Moses cried out, "What! have you bored a hole in it so that all the passengers may be drowned? This is a grievous thing that you have done

وَلاَ تَمْشِ فِي الأَرْضِ مَرَحًا إِنَّكَ لَن تَخْرِقَ الأَرْضَ وَلَن تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُولاً﴿17:37﴾
(17:37) (14). Do not strut about in the land for you can neither cleave the earth nor attain the height of the mountains.


وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ شُرَكَاء الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ وَخَرَقُواْ لَهُ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ﴿6:100﴾
(6:100) And yet, some people have come to associate the jinn with Allah in His divinity, *67 even though it is He Who created them; and in ignorance they impute to Him sons and daughters. *68 He is Holy and Exalted far above that which they attribute to Him
