My respected sisters and brothers, the whole Al-quraan Al-kariim is great...and we all surly enjoy listening or recitation. I'd like to know, if there're some special suura(s) or aayaat..you usually play it or even read it.

I love suurat Maryam, specially the first page..No day passes by without listening to it specially with the voice of Abdirihman Al-sudays...such a beautiful ayat subxana Allah....

Indeed the voice of Al-Sudais is great! He adds to the beauty of our holy book with his wonderful tune and voice.

P.S. I don't really have a favourite!:-\

Surah Yusuf is just a must hear, follow the tafseer at the same time, if that doesnt bring you to tears then I dont know what will :D.

and oh yes sudais is reading it lol
 
Great! Surely it will bring me to tears! Everything does! :laugh: Don't worry, I confuse myself sometimes! lol! As long as Sudais is reading it . . .
 
Subhanallah Sheikh Sudais his recitation is CLASS.. also i really like Sheikh Shatery's REcitation ... he gt a lovely tune as welll...

My FAvourite Surah is Surah Yusuf .. its beautifull ...

n my Favourite Ayah the one which keeps me goin all the time is :

fa Inna Ma'al 'Usri Yusra !!
( verily with every difficulty there comes relief)
 
In Surah AL-MUMENOON chapter number 23 verse number 62

I like this one. It's very refreshing:)

subhannallah, suratal yaseen is suppose to be recited every night of jumaa (thursday night) and for the sick too right

suratal yaseen is my favorite surah, it has such a healing impact on the heart, also yaseen is a mystic name of the Rasool (saw)

And..favoirite aayahs..SO MANY but best one is... Fbi'aayi Aalaa ee rabbikumaa tukadhibaaan (surah Rahman)...

I have many favourite recitors, amoung these are alot of egyptians, I belive ALLAH (swt) has blessed them with beautiful voices Masha ALLAH

Qari Abdul Basit Abdus Sammad; i think he needs no introduction

Sheikh Muhmmad Siddiq Al Minshawi: Such a beautiful reciter who recited with such taqwa

Sheikh Mustafa Ismail: He coud change between maqamaat so quickly (for mishari rashid fans, this is his fav recitor)

Sheikh Muhammad Rif'at: he was widely regarded as the recitor of his century

Favourite surah is surah taha, it is recited so beautifully by Salah Al Budair
 
And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad P), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the Siddiqûn (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them, like Abu Bakr As*Siddiq), the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are! (An-Nisa 4:69)

Az-Zumur ayaah number 8
وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُ مُنِيباً إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنْهُ نَسِيَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَندَاداً لِّيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلاً إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ
"And then some hurt toucheth man , he crieth unto his Lord , turning unto Him ( repentant ) . Then , when He granteth him a boon from Him he forgetteth that for which he cried unto Him before , and setteth up rivals to Allah that he may beguile ( men ) from His way . Say ( O Muhammad , unto such an one ) : Take pleasure in thy disbelief a while . Lo! thou art of the owners of the Fire ".


Al-Baqara aayah number 186
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

"And when My servant question thee concerning Me , then surely I am nigh . I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me . So let them bear My call and let them trust in Me , in order that they may be led aright".
