Eid Message: This One Day
Witten bu Umm Qalamul-jihad

Bismillah

The month of Ramadan now at an end, and the long awaited day has finally
arrived: Eid- the divine day.

I have always understood this day to be of joy, of happiness, and of
family gatherings. When the parents buy gifts and clothes for their
children and in return the children show gratitude and respect.

On this day when all family disputes are put aside we all become united
under one banner "the family banner" But still the Ummah remains
disunited under many banners.

On this day when group of Muslims begins fasting one day and another
group the next day. On this day most Muslims celebrate Eid one
day and the the rest the next day.
When one group of Musilims forbids the evil, the other strives for it.
When one group of Muslims fight the kuffar, another allies with them.

On this day we enjoy a big meal eating from many dishes, but our
brothers and sisters still remain in hunger On this day when we enjoy
our new clothes, our sisters clothes ar being removed. On this day when
all families get together, the families in Iraq are being bombed apart.

This One Day in which we still continue to live in comfort whilst our
Ummah are in DISCOMFORT.

On this one day whilst we celebrate Eid our brothers in Guantamano and
Belmarsh have no idea while we laugh they cry while we eat they fast
while we sleep they are in qiyam
Have we forgotten them already or have we forsaken them

O my brothers and sisters- In reality This One Day is no different to
any other day.

Allah (swt) said
"O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except
in a state of Islam. And hold fast together all of you to the rope of
Allah, and be not divided among yourselves...."
(3:102-103)

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: The Muslims are one body, if one part
of the body hurts, rest of the body will also suffer."
(Muslim)

May Allah strenghen the ghurabas and make us amongst them. Ameen
