Zulekha was our bengali maid and a wonderful woman.The quality i like most was she never speak lie.Once she was telling us about a bengali sweet and she kept on repeating "Khazoor ka ghoor" and i was unable to understand what was that.When she gone,i asked my mother and she told me that it was "Khajoor ka gurr"
And the way she called every good smell as "Acha badboo" made me ROFL

Yup, from 'Bangla' gor (house)- usually the one floor smaller houses are referred to as such.

for example I pick out some of your faults, some of these words are not Bengali, perhaps you think it is since that you were raised in an English home but there are actual Bengali words for some of these
