If i was rich i would remain annonymous and build Masjids, Islamic schools, start construction work in war affected countries, help orphans, widows, the poor, the ill and everyone else in need.
May Allah swt help the rich spend their money for the sake of Allah swt. Ameen.
Pain and hardships allow you to grow spiritually Alhamdulilah so smile when a so called calamity befalls upon you.
Alhamdulilah Allah swt is the greatest.

Money changes people. That's the saddest truth. It is probably the hardest test, like positions of power. They can corrupt a person if not easily, it will be steadily creeping in. Self importance and pride will vie for a place in that person.
I have seen the opposite too. Rare, though.
You have to own it, not it owns you. Cannot be too precious with it but not wasteful.
