salam alaikum, I am a new muslim Alhumdolilah. I put on my hijab, mashaAllah, a few days ago. The first day I wore it to work a manager told me that it was against company dress code policy, and that if I didn't take it off during work that she would recommend firing me to the store manager.
Now I spoke to my store managers and they assure me that is not the company's point of view, I have contacted CAIR and WHYISLAM. Alhumdolilah, they are both supporting me. I wanted to write a inspirational poem for sisters that wear the hijab and face day to day prejudice. MashaAllah
M jihad
As i get ready to go into the outside world
I look in the mirror
What do i see?
My beauty
Then i slip on the hijab
why?
I cover my outer beauty
So you take a look at my inner beauty
I step into the cruel and unjust society
of this "free" country
i look at avoiding eyes and stares
i hear whispering from every side
i think to myself "i am not here to please everyone"
i am here to please Allah
then i hold my head with the hijab high
Allah has chosen this jihad for me to overcome
yes this is my jihad
mashAllah sis, im glad your wearing hijab now. for the first time I wore jilbab to a job interview and alhamdulillah started the job today. noone has commented at all on the clothes i wear. so i can feel comfortable knowing i am completely covered now!!
stand strong sis, if u lose that job then Allah will provide you with a better job inshAllah
Salam
Firstly to the new sister who cannot wear the hijab, may allah make it easy for you. Also, know that the kuffar will always hate you, always have enmity for you and the only way they wil accept you is if you adopt their way of life. May allah make it easy for all the sisters in the same position as you, and may allah raise the truth above the falsehood. ameen
Wassalam
Looking up at the sky, searching for Allah most High
He rejected the way of worshipping Gods of clay
Prophet Ebrahim knew that Allah was near
And that the heart of a Muslim is sincere
Under the hot burning sun, he declared God is one
Though with stones on his chest, his Imaan would not rest
The Muadhin knew that right would conquer wrong
And the heart of a Muslim must be strong
Chorus:
It's the heart of a Muslim through the guidance of Islam
That makes you fair and kind and helpful to your fellow man
So living as a Muslim means that you must play a part
Allah looks not at how you look, but what is in your heart
In our poor meager state, little food on our plate
Mother said she was glad, always sharing what we had
When I asked how can we share what's not enough
She said the heart of a Muslim's filled with love
He said its time you should know, you will learn as you grow
That some people around will do what's bad to bring you down
Father said to be a star that's shining bright
For the heart of a Muslim does what's right
Chorus
So whatever you, make sure your words are true
Honesty is the best, because life is a test
Even if it hurts so much you want to cry
For the heart of a Muslim does not lie
Chorus
Have Faith step on to the cloud of Islam
And you will discover the Light of Iman
Proclaim this Message entrusted to you
And the Cloud of Islam
Will carry you!
