    THE QU’RAN

A Book that is full of answers,
A Book that makes you cry.
A Book that makes you notice,
How much harder you can try.
A Book that makes you realize,
    What true love really is...
A Book that gives you direction,
for all of life’s tough biz.
A Book that gives you hope,
    that Someone somewhere’s
    watching over you.
A Book that helps you out,
Through all the times your blue.
    A Book that was revealed
    to our beloved Prophet(SAWS),
over a period of 23 years
Once you put faith into this Book,
    You can handle worldly fears.
A gift sent down from Heaven,
    A treasure from up above,
    Written proof that shows us
    How blessed we are
    with Allah(SWT’s) love!

    The Qu’ran

:rose:This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me.This body that I have, no stranger has a right to see. These long clothes and this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.Faith is far less fickle than fashion. Wouldn’t you agree?

    Re: The Qu’ran

    Assalamo Alaikum

I have written this poem on the Noble Quran which I would like to share with you.

    The Word of Allah (SWT)

The word of Allah, I am a sacred scripture
A book of guidance for all with a divine author
An eternal message started with the word ‘IQRA’
Revealed through Angel Gabriel to the final messenger

Once written on stones, palm leaves, bones and wood
Devotedly recited, memorised and loved as I should
Today I reside in the memories of man and woman
Eloquent and poetic, the ultimate beauty of expression

A book of law, religion, social values and morality
A code of conduct guiding mankind to prosperity
A book of worship, prayer, dreams and solace
An invitation to Jannah – the garden of eternal bliss

A book of Prophets and their struggles in past history
An answer to modern day science and philosophy
The finest of medicine and a great source of healing
For the faithful a journey through emotions and feeling

A source of true knowledge and of infinite wisdom
Preserved by ’Al-Hafiz’ from human corruption
The word of Allah, the heart and soul of Islam
The word of Allah, yes I am the Noble Quran.

    Re: The Qu’ran

Jazakallah sister for your comments. I have written a number of poems and one of my favourites is on our beloved prophet Muhammad Mustafa (SAW).

Muhammad Mustafa - The prophet of Islam

With the birth of Muhammad did Arabia awake
The lake of Persia ran dry and palaces of Kisra shake
Extinguished was the 1000 year old raging fire
Mustafa’s birth - end of the Roman and Persian Empire

Of the noble tribe, the Banu Hashim was he
Orphaned young – raised by his paternal family
A herdsman and as a merchant he was successful
Al-Amin and As-Sadiq, the trustworthy and faithful

His honesty, integrity, patience and purity of life
Appealed to the great lady Khadijah who became his wife
Gentle and kind hearted with a life of such simplicity
Muhammad, a model of compassion and humility

He assisted the poor, the needy, the widow and orphan,
He bore the burden of the slave and the downtrodden
He nursed the sick with tender loving affection
Muhammad Mustafa and example of human perfection

At the age of 40 in Hira he received his prophecy
To preach Oneness of God and his absolute authority
The faithful amongst them accepted his invitation
The stones, trees and animals hymned his glorification

He ensured hardships in the path of truthfulness
Stoned, accosted and mocked for his forthrightness
He migrated to an oasis – now known as Al-Madina
From here Islam was spread by the prophet of Arabia

Today he is loved and honoured by over a billion
The greatest of men who preached the greatest of religion
Each day his name is declared by those near and far
    Laillaha illallah muhammadur rasulullah

A preacher and warrior who overcame every hindrance
A mercy to mankind and a pure light of guidance
Peace and blessings on him, the most perfect believer
The seal of the prophets who left the Quran and Sunnah

May Allah (SWT) inculcate in our hearts a true and undying love for our beloved prophet Muhammad Mustafa (SAW).

    Aameen.

    Jazakallah.

Inshallah most of my poems will be posted on Muslim Writers Society (MWS). Here's just one more dedicated to the blessed city of the prophet - Al-Madina.

    Muhammad’s Madina

I journeyed through the golden Arabian sand
To reach the sacred and promised land
A city of dates and of luscious palm trees
    Al-Madina, a treasure from Allah’s bounties

As I wandered through the tranquil night
Heartfelt tears flowed for what was in sight
The splendour of the majestic green dome
Awakened my desire to call Madina ‘home’.

The spectacle of where the sacred mosque lies
Within it is a garden from the gardens of paradise
Al-Madina where the beloved of Allah rests
The city of the prophet where love and brotherhood nests

    Al-Madina’s air - a fragranced sweet breeze
The heart so content and the mind at such ease
An oasis and a sanctuary of peace and security
Blessed in it’s way of life with perfect harmony

I pray for Allah’s beloved for him to intercede
For I am a sinner with scarcely a good deed
May Allah grant my yearning desire
To die and be buried in Muhammad’s Madina
