Daw'ah - A Responsibility Of every Muslims (A Complete Encyclopedia) (OP)
Dawah -Invitation to islam - A Responsibility Of every Muslims
"Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided." [The-Qur'aan, an-Nisaa'(16):125]
"And who is better in speech than he who invites to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says: 'I am one of the Muslims.'" [al-Qur'aan, Fussilat(41):33]
With regards to the reward, the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) has said: "Whoever guides [another] to a good deed will get a reward similar to the one who performs it." [Saheeh Muslim] Also, "By Allah, if Allah were to guide one man through you it would be better for you than the best type of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]
An important matter for Muslims to realize is that da`wah is an obligation upon them. Allah (subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa) says in the Qur'aan:
You are the best of Umah (peoples), evolved (Raised up) for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. . (4,110)
'Dawah' literally means "Inviting people to Islam". The Qur'an is Allah (swt)'s message for the whole humanity to come till the end of this world and it has laid great emphasis on Dawah. Muhammad (PBUH) was the last Prophet of Allah and after them this is the obligation of their every follower to do their Job (Dawah). we all Muslim are the representative of Muhammad (PBUH), as there no more Prophet will come for the guidance of People, till the end of the world (except isha (Juses) near Qayyamah).
Say: This is my Way: I invite unto Allah with sure knowledge. I and whosoever follow me - Glory be to Allah! - And I am not of the idolaters. (12, 108)
And in At-Tirmidhi, it has been reported that the Messenger of Allah said:
"By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! You will enjoin good and forbid evil, or Allah will certainly send His punishment to you. Then you will make supplication and it will not be accepted."
So when they forgot the remindings that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil, but We seized those who did wrong with a severe torment because they used to rebel (disobey Allah). (EMQ al-A'raaf, 7:164-165)

We see many cases of Muslims reforming themselves to become better Muslims, and in most cases they are seen as extreme, strict and sometimes even considered as crazy. Strangers is what they have become. In this lecture Sheikh Khalid Yasin explains the importance of being patient in difficult times like these.
