Not forbidding the evil.

Every Muslims whom Allah has blessed with knowledge to distinguish between good and evil bears responsibility for enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil. Allah tells us in Qur'an.

At-Taubah 9:71

The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give Zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those – Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Luqman 31:17

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.

To fail to enjoin good nor forbid evil is one of the worst actions. To be silent from doing so will lead to punishment from Allah, and should one try to make duas, it will not be accepted as reported in yhe hadith.

Hadith

Hudhaifah (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you either enjoin good and forbid evil, or Allah will certainly soon send His punishment to you. Then you will make supplication and it will not be accepted".

[At-Tirmidhi, who categorized it as Hadith Hasan].

Feeling embarrassment or the fear of disapproval from people is not the excuse for this.

May Allah help us to be steadfast.
