Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
For what its worth from my point of view as someone that is drawn to Islam in my search for Truth, Islam is a way of life where one submits to the will of the creator where one is obliged to give to the poor, care for the sick and elederly and promotes resistance against injustice, oppression and greed..Which should in theory will lead to a more prosperous peacefull world..
Christinanity and Judeaism is more submitting to the will of men, and men in power become unjust, greedy and oppressive as sure as night follows day..
I do think however there are some Christinas and Jews that do submit to Allaha while some Musims submit to men, Allaha knows whats in our hearts and he is the best of judges.
Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
Because prophethood of all the prophets a.s including Hz Musa a.s and Hz Eesa a.s has been quashed by the prophethood of last messenger Hz Muhammad s.a.w.

Quashed? powerfull word, wouldnt clarified or enhanced or similar be more Truthful?
I thought all the Prophets came with the same message, from the creator, and that message was, only by submitting to Truth will you be set free?
Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
All thank you for answering. I still don’t get answer to my question. I want some logical examples that I can show or tell that Christianity and Jewish are wrong and that the Islam is the truth. I want some powerful examples that I can confront the Jews and Christians.
Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
salaam
Some problems
1 - Judaism is ultimately a tribal religion and does not have a universal message - Islam accepts Judaisms core message (people of the book) that the prophets spoke of eg Tawheed, keeping the law, Meeting God after you die. Judaism rejects Jesus pbuh and many Prophets like John the Baptist, Zakirayia and Isa (as).
2 - Christianity accepts Jesus pbuh as the messiah but they make him into God, then they explain this by the trinity. They also have the concept of original sin which requires a blood sacrifice of Jesus pbuh hence is death on the cross being central and a very complex message.
Islam on the other hand is the religion given to Adam as and goes back to the roots of being a Godly person and then one will have to answer for what one did on earth on the last day. The Jews didnt accept the prophets - whilst Christianity defied the messiah.
In other words - Judaism a tribal religion and Christianity a convoluted one.
They merely:
Veiled themselves and didn't flaunt it
Sought forgiveness and didn't persist
Took ownership of it and don't justify it
And acted with excellence after they had erred - Ibn al-Qayyim
Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
Maybe you just should study more about your own religion first. If you have to ask here such question, it may means you still should study more before you start to arguing with people from other religions. Getting some tips what to say might not be enough if you haven´t the whole picture.
Or if you can say you know your own religion enough well, how you would answer to your own question?

Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
Dont argue with ppl abt why islam is the best etc.
Just leave them.
There are issues with both religions( how they are practised today) what with Judaism being a bit iffy about converts and Christianity and the trinity.
"Use against them" makes me think ur starting arguments etc, dont do that. Why someone is muslim is a factor specific to a person. Eg maybe someone believes in Islam because of the Quran. Maybe because of the seera of the prophet pbuh. Maybe because its the Truth they have been looking for. You have to make islam your own, not because of some external reason.
Dunno if that makes sense or not

My point was for christinas to better understand their prophets message they are better looking to the Quran and Islam.
Same can be said for Moses..
Over time their words were distorted by men in power, the Quran is the best preserved , detailed, complete and clear book of all the Prophets.
Re: Why should you be a muslim and not a christian or jewish
The problem is that Christians and Jews do not accept the Quran. Besides, how would Christians understand their religion better by looking in the Quran? most of them do not even look in their own book properly. they have the opinion that the message in the Bible is to be taken symbolically...not literally.
Even the Bible states that they cannot eat pork, get drunk or do zina. So why would they take a lesson from looking in the Quran?
There are a lot of people in the world who are blind to the truth.

Easy, first of all, the Bible claims to be the inspired word of God, not his literal word. That's a pretty big issue. There's also the fact that it has been extensively corrupted by numerous people, so it cannot really be considered reliable either. Another major issue is how it does say or at least imply things that are pretty much impossible (e.g the Earth being 6,000 years old, the Earth being made before the Sun, etc). I also find it very difficult to believe in the Bible when it offers very little (if any) proof for its claims (unlike the Quran), and its prophets are portrayed in a way that doesn't really make them seem like exemplary figures (again, unlike the Quran):
Abraham was neither a "Jew" nor a "Christian", but was one who turned away from all that is false, having surrendered himself unto God; and he was not of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him. - 3:67
..
They say: "Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation)." Say thou: "Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah." - 2:135
..i don't know?
Maybe just ask them about Ibrahim pbuh..
Everybody claims him pbuh.
Sorry if it's a bit here or there, I have strange writing habits.
