For me i do bio, chem, computing, maths A level and communications enrichment (level 3). I like all of them hence the reason y i picked them.
In school, I didnt used to like Food technology (wasnt my cup of tea, lol) and graphics/art much. My geography teacher could have liteally made u sleep within 5 mins. And wasnt too good at france (french) either...Apart from these, rest weren't bad...what about u?
my favorite subjects are islamic studies, gym, and thts about it
the subjects i hate are alot
ill begin
1.biology(i dont wanna be a doctor)
2.physics(i dont wanna be some einstein)
3.chemistry(chemicals are my enemy)
5.art(i hate art so much, and i told that to my art teacher and ever since tht incident she gives me this really scary look like if i turn around she will attack me with an axe...)
6.history(i mean wht the???why do we need to learn the history of this country?????it makes no sense, islamic history is better than the history of this country)
7.computer studies(i mean wht the???again....why do we need to study comps? the purpose for computers at our age is to play games and stuff, and maybe a bit of comp studies may help us so im not a computer hater)
8.accounting(man this subject gets on me nerves, im not planning onn being an accountant or somethin... plus all those balance sheets, and all the other stuff just hurts my brain )
i have many more subjects i hate but id rather not list them for 2 reasons
1.just like that
2.i hate typing

You don't like school much, do you? Are there any subjects you do like?
With regard to the reason for learning history, it's common for all nations to teach their history to students. If you live in China, you'll learn Chinese history; if you live in Turkey, you'll learn Turkish history. This is not surprising at all. It helps students understand the background to everything they see all around them, and why things in that country are the way they are. The simple reason you are learning about the history of a specific country is that you live there.
As for myself, I agree with Rabi'ya:
I love english language...understanding how and whereand why we use certain words.

You're spot on - I'm an English teacher. It's a shame you don't enjoy much of school, but if you enjoy maths that's a huge advantage. It can help you with lots of other subjects, so make sure you keep it up.
I was useless at maths at school, so I'm really jealous!

I was rubbish at maths but liked my teachers.
I was good at English but only liked one or two of my teachers.

It makes no sense man!
That's an interesting one - teachers you like teaching subjects you don't! It's happened to me a few times - anyone else?
One of my favourite teachers ever taught Latin and Greek. He was so knowledgable and entertaining but I still couldn't get my head round those languages...

Happened to me too.... I had a teacher who was really nice... But... she taught math and I had no choice but to only pretend I was listening in class...

O Allah Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth, and put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West.”
Salam,
I don't really hate any subject...It sometimes depends if the teacher/professor is good. I like English but once I had this teacher whom I didn't like. Math is fun, especially algebra.

You know, if you didnt have maths, you wouldnt be on the internet right now, or even the computer...
:brother:
Well, if such things existed or not, woudn't make much of a difference... And why can't math be optional anyway? Competely ruins my gpa and I'm stuck being a sore loser now cause our teacher is sooo slow...
Although I was useless at maths at school, I can see the point of it. Without maths, there'd be no physics, no electronics, no engineering and any number of other studies. A computer is little more than an extremely fast calculator plus memory, invented using the ingenuity of mathematics.
Incidentally, as everyone knows, the numeric system we use today was invented by Arabs, including the number zero. Zero always impresses me. Try imagining a world without any zeroes. Can you imagine the sheer genius it would take to invent it? It doesn't sound like much, but I think it's an amazing invention.
Wise words comg from Callum (czgibson) there! Geniuses did invent things that now we take for granted. This laptop that I'm using for example. Such a small object with so much potential and capacity.
Incidentally, I actually enjoy doing Maths. First I was in a low class, then they moved me up one, then they moved me up another one. So I've had quite a ride, lol! My GCSE target for Maths is A but InshaAllah I hope to get an A*. I hope I'm not being too ambitious but InshaAllah I want to make my family proud and we all know that where there is a will, there is a way and an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
