As requested, this is a thread where we can discuss various books and recommend books as well. For a more detailed discussion on a certain book, we recommend making a seperate thread in the Education Issues section of this forum.

Son of Adam that is one of the coolest books ever. What a catchy title! Seeing the title I just knew I had to have it. Yes I agree this book is a must for every muslim.
Indeed it is a very good book, glad you agree. May Allah reward you.

I'm not sure whether its available online or not, I suspect not - Allah knows best. Although its available to buy online from here and here . An online extract of one of the chapters of the book can be read here.
Pinkrose Salam Alaikum
This is a bit off the subject
your poem is absolutly decent :sister: :loving:
I really like that poem is it yours or did you get it from someone else
just curious?
Do you any know of any book which tells the differences of the majhabs on various issues?
There are various books written by very many famous writers on Islam. But do not believe merely in their fame as the criteria for their writings to be unmistaken. Read the books, compare the discussed issues with the Quran and correct Hadith and think yourself what is correct.

Brother and sisters .
U all seem to lve reading Islamic books but remember that we also have to gain scientific information. I know that every Ayyat of the holy Quraan has a scientific background.
Here is a site which will refer u to many islamic books with scientific background.
Ive just started on this book called, The Peoples History of the United States by Robert Zinn. It is well written and is not just a 'history textbook'. It is well written.
A Child Called IT by Dave Pelzer and The Lost Boy same author
Ahaa! I read that book ( a child caled it) waaay back, i never finished reading it because the story was tooo depressing and too much violence going on in there.
“Whoever puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is Allah for him.”
A Child Called IT by Dave Pelzer and The Lost Boy same author
I read both of those and then the one after that when he became an adult.
It was so sad, made me cry. ffended:
We take our parents love for granted and some people have none and some have hate in place of love.
Theres one just like this one but its about a girl being abused by her step father.
Couldnt read that one, it was just so horrific. ffended:
A book I would recommend is Salem Falls by Jodie Picoult, it has a good ending.
''Malika Oufkir was born into a privileged Moroccan family who, after a coup attempt by her father, were imprisoned and tortured for over fifteen years. Oufkir's book "La Prisonniere" tells the story of their incredible ordeal, and has become a best-seller throughout Europe and the United States.''
Eventhough I have read this book when I was 12/13, it still stayed with me all these years, how people can endure these kind of horrific experiences, Subhan'Allah.
