Assalamu Alaykum,

One of my family members is having a reception for their recent wedding, Insha'Allah. I wanted to do some special stuff. Right now, all I have in mind is wedding nasheeds (which I'll ask for later on--English preferred) and a powerpoint presentation.

Any other ideas? Maybe a gender segregated dance party....? (Don't take that seriously. I was kidding... Really, I was.) ;D
 
you can do a power point presentation with their goofy pictures as youngen and how they've grown since, you know like the major achievements in their lives to this big day?

You could surprise them by having their friends or loved ones dedicate a small speech for them or.. have them sing.
 
Not a bad idea. I'm okay with anything that doesn't involve me in public speaking though. :hiding:

I don't wanna work with pictures, most definitely. Well, not THEIR pictures at least. The powerpoint, I was thinking, could consist of Hadith/Ayaat, and their names with a Nasheed background.

Poetry is a good idea. I can have one of the younger ones recite it.
