What about a hand / footprint clay set. It comes in a tin with clay that you can imprint the babys hand or foot and then the clay hardens. Sorry i know u asked for summat islamic but this is all i could this of atm
I saw a book in Islamic Impressions.. 'Muslim Baby record book' or something like that... looks really nice mashaAllah and I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

You can buy it from here if you don't live near any of their stores... or you might find it in an Islamic bookshop near you.
I was tempted to buy it but wouldn't know who to give it to lol.

buy a baby sleeping box or baby kits. the new couple will use it for a longer time for sure.
my dorm owner recently gave birth to a baby girl. my mum gave her a baby kit box as a gift.
you can also buy a huge Teddy Bear to accompany the baby.
