OFFICIAL: High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia announces 1st day of Ramadhaan 1436 - Thursday 18 June 2015
By the Grace of Allah the Most High; an official announcement has been made to declare that the month of Sha'baan will be completed as 30 days!
This is in accordance to the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alyhi wa sallam as the Hilaal (new moon) has NOT been sighted for the Blessed month of Ramadaan 1436AH.
This means that tomorrow night; as the sun sets [emoji559] we will enter into the first Night [emoji292] of this amazing month, an honoured month, a blessed month!!!
The Muslims will then conduct their 1st Tarawih prayers tomorrow night [emoji801] (Wednesday 17th June) and the following morning (Thursday 18th) after the adhaan for Salatul Fajr [emoji790] (approx); the Muslims will cease to eat, drink etc and begin their 1st Day of Fasting for the sake of Ar-Rahmaan.
May Allah grant us all the strength and ability to derive full benefit from this month, Amin.
Note: This means that Eid Al-Fitr [emoji95] will be on Friday 17th OR Saturday the 18th July. Depending on if Ramadan has 29 or 30 days.
