Chines are very complecated characters, I think most of the curving in japanese coming from hiragana......right?

FYI, 90% of my Chinese friends dont know how to read Chinese...and about 10% of them dont even know how to speak Chinese...
Both my parents can speak Chinese too (Mum - Hokkien, Dad - Mandarin) but they dont know how to read Chinese too...

then I dont need to worry if I dont be able to read chinese in my life
but I read somewhere that in japanese schools they are suffering there to teach their students Kanji....they even tried to reduce the number of kanji characters to make it easy on people there.....
I wonder why they still keep them, if they suffering that much
