Witnesses called police, who sent in a local bee removal expert, Al Wilkins, to cut the bees' layover short.
High winds may have caused the swarm to make an emergency landing at the airport, Wilkins said, or the queen may have decided to simply take a breather.
Wilkins used a specially designed bee vacuum, probably bought at Sears, to suck the bees off the wing and relocate them to a hive on his property. Before being removed, the bees were charged $15 for their first checked pollen sac, $50 for each additional sac.
I just thought this was hilarious.. especially the 'vacuum probably bought at sears part' chuckle chuckle hehehe (since the lol repository was closed) I have to insert my lols here
