but why do muslims dont talk about jannah oftenly. many take it as a fairytale.
mostly we hear is 'pray salah otherwise Allah will punish u', 'obey parents otherwise Allah will throw u in Hell'. we only talk about Allah's anger, wrath, displeasure.
by studying about jannah, our love for Allah will increase and doing good deeds will become easy inshallah.
eg. getting up for fajr may become easy if we imagine ourselves in Paradise resting on couch, eating grapes with servants standing with glasses of wine.
or avoiding pre-marital affairs if we imagine walking on the bank of Jannah's river with a Hoor (maidens of Jannah) hand-in-hand, she's looking at u with her wide black eyes and giving u a most beautiful smile
we dont think about His love, mercy, compassion and kindness towards us. also about His forgiveness that we keep sinning yet He is patient with us. (our employer will throw us out if we make a mistake).
If you're interested to know man, you can find out. There are many sources on the internet. You are right, it does give a boost to a person thinking about paradise. Also thinking about hellfire keeps me away from several sins.
