Color vs. White

Is there any rule in Islam on what color the bride should wear, if she shouldnt wear white etc? Or is it just a cultural thing?
Back in the day,brides in my culture wore the traditional costume.
I know in some cultures the bride wears a colorful dress, whereas white is for a funeral.

In my culture brides wear traditional weeding dress, and they can chose any color that they want. But in fact, white is the most popular color.
