Magog appears in the Table of Nations in Genesis 10:2 as the eponymous ancestor of a people or nation:
The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras (Genesis 10:2)
Gog is listed as a descendant of Reuben (one of the sons of patriarch Jacob) in the 5th century BC 1 Chronicles 5: 3, 4.
"Gog" and "Magog" appear together in the Book of Ezekiel, 38:2-3:
38:2. Son of man, set thy face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him(Ezekiel 38:2)
3. And you shall say; So said the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. (Ezekiel 38:3).
