I came home and found that my wife had made a big pot of hot dog chowder.
I know it sounds gross. But when I was a kid this was something my mom found the recipe for in a ladies magazine -- she was always looking for new recipes in those things. She made it for us, and lo and behold it turned out pretty good. When I got married it was one of just a few dishes that I asked for my wife to learn to make from my mom. Of course we don't have it very often and I have no idea what prompted my wife to make it today. But I'm glad she did. Not so much because it's all that great, but because of the memories associated with it. You see, I can't eat it without thinking about my mom. And my mom has been gone 2 years now, so it was good to just sit down on a cold evening with a bowl of hot chowder, and remember her.
I was looking at myself talking to myself and I realized this conversation...I was having with myself looking at myself was a conversation with myself that I needed to have with myself.
I read what everyone else ate and I am ashamed to say I ate frosted cereal with melted vanila icecream trust me it is not as bad as it sounds...but i am still mad at myself for not cooking a real meal
You have got to get up every morning with determination if you want to go to bed with satisfaction

LOL. Don't worry. I'm not cooking tonight either. It's my wife's birthday and she's asked to go out to Applebee's. Don't know what I'm going to order, but I don't expect it will be either apples or bees.

If you come up this way to go skiing keep in mind there are only 7 Applebee's in the entire State 2 in Bismarck, one in Jamestown and 4 in Fargo.

well, at least in Indonesia "oxtail" is normally tail of cow, not of ox. Anyway, all cows in Indonesia when slaughtered are done in halal way, so that would make oxtail halal
I thought you ment actually ox! theres not many requests for tails over here, but im gona ask next time i go to the butchers.
