If you prayed in congregation and forgot to read tashahhud after second Rakat, that means you were the imam, right?
Sitting for Tashahhud and reading tashahhud is wajib and missing out a wajib requires Sajdah Sahw.

Tashah-hud is from the Waajibaat of Salaah. If one forgets to recite Tashah-hud, he must perform Sujood-us-Sahw (The Sajdah of Forgetfulness), in lieu of that forgetfulness. If he does not perform Sujood-us-Sahw either, he will have to repeat the Salaah.
وذكر في الهداية: ويلزمه إذا ترك فعلا مسنونا " كأنه أراد به فعلا واجبا إلا أنه أراد بتسميته سنة أن وجوبها ثبت بالسنة. قال: " أو ترك قراءة الفاتحة " لأنها واجبة " أو القنوت أو التشهد أو تكبيرات العيدين " لأنها واجبات فإنه عليه الصلاة والسلام واظب عليها من غير تركها مرة وهي أمارة الوجوب ولأنها تضاف إلى جميع الصلاة فدل على أنها من خصائصها وذلك بالوجوب ثم ذكر التشهد يحتمل القعدة الأولى والثانية والقراءة فيهما وكل ذلك واجب وفيها سجدة السهو هو الصحيح
