Considering the massive differences among people in terms of intellect, beauty, creativity, etc how equal are we? We're all equal in the eyes of God, yes, but are we equal as human beings? Why are some people set up to be beggars and suffer while some are here to live in comfort? If a homeless man steals then will Allah give him the same punishment a rich man would get? How does any of this make sense?
No all men are not equal. In theory any man from any race should have equal opportunity for success but the culture, ideology the man is born into affects his chances of success.
For example the excessive liberal culture has condemned Bangladeshis as a second grade people.
On the other hand the warlike culture of Turks made them into one of the most successful people on Earth (before they became liberalized, Westernization and became soft teddy bears).
Neither those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
The kuffar have jannah in this world so it doesn't matter what they have, they lose in the end.
And for Muslims it's a test. The rich is to give charity to the poor, the poor is to have trust Allah will provide, the healthy is to give thanks and utilise their health to strive for deen, the weak is to remain grateful etc etc
