    Re: About listen to music

It is generally a big waste of time and putting mind on idle (away from dhikr) and distance from noor, and the use should be limited to like ethnic, holiday, wedding, ceremonial use.

We should not be awkward barbarians making scenes, haram this, haram that where there is music, especially in public.

We should improve more ourself, do more nawafil, dhikr, duas, salawat, estegfar, be productive in "dunya" work and donate a lot to the poor or the community like sadaqah jariya/waqf.

    It's a very good question.

    1. When I listen to music and even sing along music, quite often I hear it while praying salah. Sometimes this thing becomes too annoying. It means this music comes between Allah and I, and thus it's haraam because it's stopping from remembering Allah. I have also noticed one thing; those days when I'm involved with music a lot, I go away from remembrance of Allah. Maybe it's different for some other people. I don't know.

    2. Muslims do lots of good and bad things in the world. These Muslims are not our leaders; if some of us are thrown into hellfire, these Muslims will not come and save us, will they? So don't just look at these Muslims, they are found in so many shapes and colours and they differ from each other greatly. You just need to see what the man did who brought Islam, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w... Did he play musical instruments? Did he use to sing? Did he sing along music? Never ever... the ulama or pious or unpious Muslims who legalise music are not going to save you on the day of judgment. Don't follow 'these Muslims'. Follow just one man, Muhammad s.a.w.
