Free journey into the Mosque of Prophet Mohammed (BUH) Supported By Photos Visting Madinah the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him's city to pray in the Prophet's mosque is one of the recommonded things to do in the Sunnah. The Prophet peace be upon him said,
"There are only three mosques that travelling specifically to them is recommended: The Holy Masjid -in Makkah - and the Masjid of Rassulul-Allah (S) (the Prophet's Mosque) and the Farthest Masjid -in Jerusalem." [Agreed upon]

Another inside view of the Prophet's mosque, this area is open aired and the green dome that we see is right about the prophet peace be upon him's house where he peace and blessing of Allah be upon him is buried with his two blessed companions Abu Bakr and Umar may Allah be pleased with them
========================================
This is the expansion that has been recently added to the Prophet peace be upon him's mosque due to the growing number of Muslims around the world
The Prophet's Masjid is distinguished by the Rawda as-Shareefah, which is the area between the house of Allah's apostle al-Hujrah as-Shareefah - and the Minbar - the pulpit. The Prophet peace be upon him said,
"Between my house and my minbar - pulpit - a Rawdah -garden- of Jannah." [Agreed upon]
This area is a side view of the Prophet's house. At the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him his wives rooms were at the side of the mosque and there was a door directly from the house to the masjid (mosque). But nowadays after the expansions, the houses are now inside the mosque.
This is the Mihrab of Allah's apostle may peace and blessings be upon him. The mihrab is basically a recess in the masjid that indicate the direction of the prayer 'Qiblah' (to Makkah) . Ofcourse it didnt look like this at the time of Prophet muhammad peace be upon him, but this is exactly where the prophet peace be upon him used to stand to lead the prayer with the early muslim believers. Allahu Akbar!

The prayer in the Prophet's Masjid is better than one thousand prayers somewhere else except in the Holy Masjid of Makkah.
"The prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere except in the Holy Masjid - of Makkah." [Agreed upon]
Same outside view as the one above at night time.
And about the virtues of praying in this beautiful Masjid, the Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him said,
"Whoever prays in this Masjid of mine forty prayers consecutively without missing one of them, it will be written for him an innocence from Hellfire, and a salvation from the Torment, and will be free from hypocrisy." [Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, al-Mundhiri, and at-Tabaraani]

====================================== Those are pictures of the Kaa'ba the House of God in Makkah. It has been first built by Adam peace be upon him, and then by Abraham and his son Ishmael peace be upon them. Allah says in the Quran:
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). (Quran 2:125)

It is obligatory for every Muslim to perform Hajj once in his, or her, lifetime unless there is no financial or physical ability. Allah (swt) has said,
"Say: "Allah spoke the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans." The first House (of worship) appointed for people was that at Bakkah; full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings. In it are Signs manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; pilgrimage thereto is a duty people owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures." (2:96-97)
"And complete Hajj and 'Umrah in the service of Allah" (2:196)
"For Hajj are the months well-known. If any one undertakes that duty therein, let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor wrangling in the Hajj and whatever good you do, (be sure) Allah knows it. And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best of provisions is right conduct. So fear Me, O you that are wise!" (2:198)
The Prophet (S) said:
"O people! Perform Hajj for Allah has made it obligatory on you". Hearing this, a man said, "is it every year O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet kept silent until the man repeated the question thrice and then said, "if I say yes it will become compulsory and you won't be able to do it". [Muslim and Ahmad].

Am confused, the place where the Prophet prayed, peace be upon him, the dent in the wall thing, theres space behind it, so I mean since now its expanded how will people pray? what I mean is, the area where the Imam prays, there area in front of him so people cant pray there right?
The path is long but I hope we meet,
After the grave and the Day, in paradise in bliss upon a reclined seat.
A traveler traveling - travelled from shirk to tawheed,
If I'm remembered for anything - let it be the Mercy I seek.

What beautiful pictures thank you for sharing them, I'm curious though Insha'Allah ever I go to hajj to make pilgrimage is it permissable if I have free time to take pictuers within the mosque? or can only the saudi authorities have right over that?

The current Imams of the Masjid do not lead the prayer from that spot. There is an area right at the front
