For example, someone really goes hard on you, and makes you feel like a right loser, you treat it like it really happened to you. Or the classic example is if a female member says something sweet about you, you get really chuffed and treat it like the hot girl next door just popped round and said the same things about you to your mother.
I know I am. I can't help it. I'm very emotionally attached to forums.
There's no other poll options other than 'Yes' and 'No'. It's a straight answer, no but's and if's.
Yes I do I have to admit that I am emotionally attached to forums. I don't want to be but yet i cannot help it! It can be one of your friends on the forum that may say something that may offend you and they have no way of knowing it. Or when there's a whole thread a everybody's participating in it, but yet you feel left out. That's the main reason why I really don't want to get involved with forum. Obviously when we post we start making friends and those friends can end up hurting you. Or when you wanna say a complement to a brother but someone else might take it for flirting... goddd i hate that. That's why I'm reserved and I act like how a muslimah is supposed to act. I don't like acting wild.

Danish, obviously you can't see the light of this poll. With members letting other members know how they interact with forums, it should help members to further proof their posts.

I would imagine that everyone is emtionally attached to forums to some degree or another, since we are all living people (I hope!) behind those posts, and just because we are looking at a lifeless computer screen does not mean that we are not receiving intelligent responses through it (from real people).
So if a member posts something offensive, we all get offended, simple as that (therefore don't do it please!)
The Internet is merely a tool of communication. Like other forms of media, use of the Internet is regarded as a value, rather praiseworthy if for a good cause. On the other hand, like other tools, it is open to abuse. Know how to use it .
There are so many false sects and kuffaar who have set up sites, each one portraying to reflect true Islam. This is proper harmful to those Muslims who are not very learned.
As a matter of fact it does..incase if there are any rapists or murderes lurking around..
.
I will not give out personal information such as my address, telephone number, parents’ work address/telephone number, or the name and location of my school without my parents’ permission.
2.
I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable.
3.
I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my mother or father along.
4.
I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents.
5.
I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact the service provider.
6.
I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission.
7.
I will not give out my Internet password to anyone (even my best friends) other than my parents.
8.
I will check with my parents before downloading or installing software or doing anything that could possibly hurt our computer or jeopardize my family’s privacy
9.
I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law.
10.
I will help my parents understand how to have fun and learn things online and teach them things about the Internet, computers and other technology.

Someone said to the Prophet, "Pray to God against the idolaters and curse them." The Prophet replied, "I have been sent to show mercy and have not been sent to curse." (Muslim)
I meant that in a totally different way. lol
Tell me u didn't go in to all that bother, typing, for a mere little comment.
I felt that the little comment you have made is very important becuase it's true. alot fo people dont know the internet rules and they need to learn. Sonner or later.
