Hmmm, born and raised in South Africa (a lovely country except for the crime)

Ancestors (grand and great grand parents) from india
 
Quite a few fellow indians (at least ethnically) :) ... Where exactly are you all from in India?

I'm Marathi.
I'm suddenly realizing that there are very few Indian Muslims that are Marathi. :-\. Bombay and Pune, we're practically insignificant in numbers.

really? my mum's side of the family's from bombay as well. And my dad's side is from lucknow.

but Im English, Irish and my grandparents are from Scilly! (i know i know, I cant spell to save my life!!!)

Mum and dad from sudan, mum side are originally moroccans who ihibited sudan they got mixed with egyptians nd turkish people. And dad is sudanese.

Turkey, I don't know where we belong geographically, so I couldn't choose. I live in the Netherlands though.
 
I guess some people don't know what to choose - ethnic origin or place of birth or current living area?! :D

Really. I mean Bombay is pretty diverse now as a big city. But I feel that are very few Muslims that are Marathi. Well at least where I live.
