Would Iranian/Persian count as 'Arab', 'Asian' or 'Other'.

You should have just put 'Middle-Eastern on there, since Arab and Iranian/Persian counts as that too

This is not a contest about who wins or loses but Asian's won! woo lol :X

I believe it would depend on the individuals perspective. The word Aryan came from the name for the original Iranians who in a genealogical analysis are of the Indo-European group of people and are more closely related to Europeans than any other group. In fact they are considered to be the original Europeans.

Like most countries Iran is composed of people from many ancestries, while the majority of Iranians are Aryan, you will find Arabs, Asians and others also rightly calling themselves Iranians.

For more accuracy a poll should have been made up of each individual country rather then regions. But, that would also fail in being truly accurate as all of us are mixed if we go back far enough and we are all children of immigrants. We seem to be unable to find the original country our original ancestors came from.

You are probably correct in saying Middle-Eastern as one group. But even that could cause confusion as some Italians, Greeks, Macedonians etc also consider themselves Middle-Eastern.

Point being, no matter what we call ourselves. When we try to fine-tune the genetics of any group, we soon reach a dead end and have to realize there is only one race of people---the Human Race.
