Looking at the poll regarding occupation, I see the biggest number of forum members are students.

That being said: What is everyone studying and what do they plan to do with said degree?

I studied in economic - business management.

Now, I am a small businessman.

I have a BA in history. I am considering going back to school for a master's degree.

Studying political and cultural studies...not sure what I want to do yet.

Ah! Good for you! Do you know what branch of medicine you want to practice at this point?

Thanks bro.:)

Not yet. I have 4 years left to decide that. There are so many branches that I am intrested in, so there will be a very hard decision.;D

What is your business, if I may be so bold?
Just a small business, an agent of a courier company. I also become an internet marketer.

But I have very valuable experience, fell into bankruptcy in my first business, and later fell into depression for years. Alhamdulillah, I could rise again, step-by-step. :)

Good for you!

My wife and I were discussing this last night. Isn't that the way of things? Those who haven't failed or haven't struggled are the ones that never experience life.

How can one know success or victory without having known defeat and humiliation?

God is good...everything, though we often cannot see it at the moment, is a blessing.

ive done my A'levels n am working in a skool am thinking of doing my B.A privately and then masters inshaAllah

Ah...the dreaded "Master's". Been there, done that.

My wife completes her doctorate this summer, then I am going to finish up mine...I am trying so hard to be enthusiastic about going back to U.

Praying for strength!:)

I can relate to this. I am thinking about going back to school at the encouragement of some people in my life, but I haven't set foot inside a classroom since 1999. I'm not really thrilled about it, to be honest...

Let's return together, "Who AM I?"
We'll motivate each other!

I have uhm, no education... I passed nothing. But Allah has shown me HIS kindness so I am eternally thankful to my Lord the Cherisher of the Worlds, Ameen.

With no education, I've held some pretty good jobs in the past, alhamdulillah, And all because HE made it happen, HE literally paved the way for me. Long story, but... yes, I am thankful.

I believe God sets out a path for all of us. Some of them require a bunch of schooling, some don't.
You're doing God's will and following his path...there is nothing more noble in the human experience.

I've done a degree in computer science BSc(Hons) and am now a professional software engineer. Allah has given me so much, yet we still do not appreciate this as much as we should.

Anyways, I always pray to Allah to give me more knowledge and confidence, no matter how much I already know.

I think that's one thing that is missing from Muslim countries, research and development in science and technology. It used to be highly sought, but somehow declined. Sad.
